ios5 upgrade 'could not activate iphone'

Hey guys,

I'm stuck at activating the phone while upgrading to IOS5.

Upgrade seems finished and it happened at the initialization procedure.

It gives 'Your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily the activation server is temporarily unavailable'

I'm in Canada using Rogers as carrier.

I called Rogers support and was told 'activation server' is indeed Apple's activation server and is required to go to the next step which is to connect to Rogers cellular network.

Support person says I need to keep try to beat the crowd until it's done.

Does anyone's having this issue ?

Tried restoring too. But still keep getting the activation server message. Itunes also showing no sim. The heck!! Now I can't use my phone!!!

Im in Mexico and I tried 3 times call to Apple but they left me on hold for half an hour and I had to end the call 'cause iits expensive. Please someone in the US with this problem try to call to find out what the f#*k is going on

I went to the apple store for the 2nd time yesterday since my phone hasnt been working since Friday. They told me to wait another day and try activating. I am actually so ****** off right now.

try this. as long as you follow the step, it will work at your first try.

well, I initially put the link up but some retard removed it.

You guys can google the relevant words and you'll find within first 5 search results.

I really wish that I don't have to come back to this obnoxious site ever.. ;P

I got the same problem dude 😟 im so sad i still couldnt fix it.... iOS 5 activation servers are not responding. Thats not True
