Would this still work of I've already backed my phone up a couple of times after the os5 update? **in hopes that my music would come back on my phome:/**
My backup reloaded everything except my contacts - but my recent calls list, favourites and texts were all ok, so i knew the contact data was there somewhere and the phone was just not retrieving them properly from it's memory - editing one contact worked perfectly, they all just magically appeared again. Thank you!
That happened to me too!! Now I am just having troubles getting into my camera roll without it crashing...
My backup reloaded everything excpet photos. ALL my photos have vanished. it's as though they never existed! Is there ANY way I can get the photos back?? Or have I lost them forever?? (i had not imported any of the pictures to iphoto).
You should try doing a "restore from backup" and puck a backup from a date before today. If that works, use Image Capture to download all of your photos/videos, and try again with the new update. At least you will have your photos back.
Thanks so much. I will try it and hope it works. Trying to figure how to restore from backup (atleast i've found where the file is stored!)
yerrey, did u made a playlist of ur music in iTunes? because that's what i did when i lost all music b4 when did upgrade my old 3GS ive learned my lessons đ
so now the playlist are always in my iTunes even if i upgrade OS and iTune as well.
You should be able to right-click on your phone under Devices in iTunes and select "restore from backup"
but the only 'restore from back up' i have is from today when the phone had nothing on it.. đ
is there anyway to find a previous 'back-up'?
Had you never backed up or is this a new computer you are syncing with?
Mzazberry - thank you so much! Thankfully i had backed up just yesterday! I got all my photos back!
Now with the icloud, we don't have to stress so much, no?
From the day i stared using my 3gs and then the iphone 4, i have been backing up before i update software! I had learnt my lesson when my mac crashed and with it it took away all my photos. Since then, all my apple devices have to be backed up.
Haha I hope not! And glad I could help! đ
It seems Apple does not, nor has ever had a decent solution for users that have ever had a hardcopy CD they didn't get from iTunes. It always keeps just what was purchased from Apple and tries it's best to trash everything else unless you go through a twelve step process to as one contributor posted above, "protect yourself from yourself".
Why in the world would I need to do that...they've been in the game for too long for this unacceptable nonesense time and again. I am not trying to harm myself--I would keep my music if up to me đ. Please help to find a real and permanent fix.
I did not steal my music like some do so I would appreciate Apple not losing it.
The Fonz
Hopefully iCloud will help with that too
