iOS 5 Notifications in the Lock Screen Problem

Hiya. Can you tell me were to find the ios5 user guide in iTunes. Can't find it ? Not tried on my pc. Just from my iPad

you can configure this in settings->notifications

click on the app and toggle view in lock screen

Done all that. There isnt a problem showing alerts for when they happen. , you get pop ups in lock screen. It's for the view you get when you swipe down in home screen. Showing up coming events. Unopened e mails etc. that's what you don't get in the lock screen.

I'm beginning to think you can't actually swipe down on the lock screen to bring up the notification center. Is there any documentation that says this is possible?

notification centre doesn't load on the lock screen

only on home screen

No, because it's not possible.

But that doesnt explain why nothing shoiws in lock screen. No weather widget, no unread email or nothing relevant from notifications.

You might think I'm nuts whrn you read this. But after trying to figure out getting email notifications on the lock screen. I turned the Notification Center radio button off but turned the badge, show preview and view in lockscreen radio buttons on and they show up on my lock screen. ??????????? Why on earth would that be the case?

What? I tried with no succes ..

Just got no Mail on Notif.Center, no Mail on the lock screen ..

No big deal, just that Apple really missed this jailbreak problem, instead of helping me and so many others keeping their iPhone apart from Jailbreak, they choose not to. So, I will jailbreak, even that after that I have to restart the iphone once every few days, I still end up better: favorites on the lock screen plus weather, email, calendar and so on there 🙂

Uh, because you turned on the "View in Lockscreen" switch?

Because that's not how the lock screen works. The lock screen is NOT Notification Center. If you have unread mail, it shows up in Notification Center until you read it. What shows up in the lock screen is mail that has arrived *since the phone locked". If you haven't received anything since the phone locked, then nothing is displayed.

And there is no weather widget for the lock screen. Only for Notification Center.

I know it's on. I have it on all the time. It only works when I actually turn the "Notifications" button off, so technically, it shouldn't be giving me any notification whatsoever.

Nothing showing up on lock screen like promised... and when viewing my emails, they would disappear out of nowhere. When I try looking for them they are simply gone. Why?
