I need to change the main iCloud account on my iPad. I'm merging family MobileMe accounts' contacts, and need to set up multiple devices with the main iCloud family account so we will all share photos, contacts, calendars, etc, but have separate email via personal subaccounts. Trouble is I entered a sub account as the main account on one of the iPads and I can't find a way to change it.
Go to iCloud in the settings.
At the bottom of the account there is a big red "Delete Account" button.
Delete it and then enter your ne account.

I am having the same problem. I changed to my new email account successfully, but keep getting asked for my password for the old email account, none of which work, of course. It's making me crazy...
I am having a similar problem. I accidentally entered an incorrect email on my son's iPod touch, and I can't reset his iCloud account without entering in a password that I DON'T have for an email account that I also DON'T have.
This won't work for me - it wants my password to my old email address, which I had to delete because of hacking. There should be a better way to do this - I keep getting and ICloud Password popup and it's annoying - Apple needs to make it easier for us to change our login info!!!
When I hit delete in my iCloud settings it asks for a password. I just bought this phone and do not have access to it
