iOS 5 and ical

I updated my iphone 4 to iOS 5 today and I finally got around to using iCal, on my iphone and Mac, well I typed out all events on iCal on my macbook, sync'd to my phone and now everytime I try to edit or add an event it tells me "Cannot save event, That event does not belong to that event store" I googled it and came up with nothing.

TIA

I have the same issue and it's driving me mad. I can't add any new appointments which I do many times during the day for work. I can ad them in outlook but not directly into my phone. Messages I receive are;

No calendar has been set

That event does not belong to that events store??

Does not matter if I select the default calendar, my own or my exchange calendar.

Please cen someone tell me where I change this as I can't find anything in my settings to change this.

I'm having calender issues too, but mine are slightly different. I edit my calendar on my iPhone 4 by editing, creating, and deleting events, and it's all fine and dandy. Then I plug it in to sync. Only certain events are added to iCal, the others just stay on the phone. Like I edited one event on my phone and it edited in iCal. I edited another one (on the same selected calendar) and nothing changed. I added some events for Saturday and they transferred, but I added even more events for Friday and literally none of them were imported.

If it's at all relevant, I turned iCloud off because I don't have wifi where my computer is and all I could see it doing was creating duplicate events.

I added a calendar in iCal and that transferred to my phone. I then added a calendar event and it transferred to my phone. But what I create in my phone doesn't want to sync to iCal.

been having the same issues ever since i upgraded my itouch to ios5. all calendar entries entered into my itouch don't sync to ical. i also removed the icloud for the calendars and enabled sync calendars in itunes but it only syncs events from ical to itouch.

am eager to know the solution for this. hopefully, it does not entail having to upgrade my mac to Lion!

I had a similar problem. New iphone 4 and synced it with my imac, was all fine then I used ical on my mac and synced to the phone. All of Octobers entries have disapeared but are on the phone...? Also my Mac and mac book are only showing the "mobile me" calenders not the "my mac" calenders. Dont know if that had anything to with the new OS 5...? and im not sure how to get them back.

Okay, well I just got off the phone with an apple supervisor and they have identified the issue as to why the ipad is not syncing calendar info back to the Mac. It's evidentally an IOS5 software glitch, but the good news is that they know exactly what it is now, so it should be fixed with the next software update of IOS5.

If you call apple support to get it fixed, they will probably have a record of this and can help you manually fix it until the next software release. They fixed mine...finally! It was literally three hours of doing a remote log in on my computer before they figured out what the issue is, but god bless apple support. They are awesome!!

This is what I did, and it ended up working. Only after tons of trial and error. I have an iMac, Macbook Air, and iPhone 4. I updated all to Lion and OS5.0. Then in iCal, I changed all my appointments, one by one, that were under My Mac, to my MobileMe, or iCloud calendar (now that iCloud is here). Had issues like you are all describing here -- FRUSTRATING! But then, FINALLY, all I did was reboot the iPhone, and voila, all the calendars are syncing and not duplicated... everything is working beautifully!
