After iOS 5 upgrade, my calendar starts on the wrong day of the week

I've upgraded my iPhone to iOS 5. My region is still selected as Australia, but Sunday is showing up as the first day of the week now.

I have not yet upgraded my iPad. It shows Australia as the region format and is correctly displaying Monday as the first day of the week.

So it appears that the iOS 5 update changes some details of the Australia region format. Does anyone know of a way to manually select the first day of the week? Thanks.

How to change the default start day of the week in the iPhone and iPad calendar

Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
Scroll down and tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Under the Calendars section, tap on Start Week On.
Here you can change the day of the week your calendar starts on.

Hmmmm thanks. Read the thread you resurrected from the very beginning and you'll see it's about iOS5 when you couldn't set the default start day. Since iOS7 you've been able to do as you suggest.

I tried that and it moved everything along by a day so that events that were originally on a Friday appeared on Saturday - so I changed it back. There is something wrong somewhere.
