iCloud and Exchange?

Hello!

So here goes. I have 3 different email accounts that i sync with my iPhone. one POP, one Gmail and my work mail via Exchange.

The sync with contacts from my Mac, iCloud and my iPhone works

My gmail account is not setup to sync anything but my mail.

My iCal personal calendars sync with my iPhone, iCal and iCloud.

However my problem is that my work calendar (Exchange) sycs perfectly with my iPhone but not with iCal or iCloud.??

Example:

I get an invite to a meeting thru Exchange, it shown up on my iPhone and everything in between syncs.

Then when i plug in my iPhone or sync it with my Mac it doenst show up at all.

Any thoughts how to solve this. I mena if the information can be handled by my iPhone it shouldnt be a problem with my Mac and iCloud?

How do you setup a PC Exchange Calander to sync with iCloud and all my iDevices?

My experience is that you can't; you can only sync a local Outlook calendar to iCloud, and not a server-based Exchange calendar.

So here's how I am doing it. You will need an account with Plaxo .

My iPhone ---> Exchange ---> Outlook (with Plaxo Plug in)--->PLAXO-->MAC (with plaxo plug in)-->iCloud<-->my iPhone + iPad + MAC

As there is no link within my iphone between iCloud and exchange, the loop stops at my phone.

Does iCloud use compression? I believe one of the benefits of exchange is that it compresses emal. This can be important for situations where bandwidth is not good because a cmpressed message takes less bandwidth. My question is does iCloud use compression? I would appreciate very much knowing the answer to this.

Hi Chris

which OS are you using on your MaC ? I'm still on 10.6.8 an in System Pref of the MAC I do not see " System Preferences -> Mail, Contacts and calendars -> Exchange! " I have it only on the iPad.

Should I upgrade to 10.7.2 (Lion) ?

Hello Massimo.

I think in Snow Leopard you need to setup a Exchange account thru Mail app to be able to sync. Im using Lion and there you have the option to just sync whatever you want and easier setup like i mentioned. If you dont have any particular reson to stay with Snow Leopard then i deffently think you should upgrade.
