ios5 caldav, and gmail calendar not showing

Dear all,

I just upgraded to IOS5 on my 3GS and now I have calendar issues.

In the calendar settings I have the following accounts setup:

Private: Mail, Contact, Calendars and reminders.

This account has been setup as an exchange account and is syncing with my Zarafa Server at home.

Everything shows up fine on the Iphone. I did have to sync all email messages because setting them up to 1 week did not work)

Google: Mail, Calendars

This account has been setup as a google mail account.

Email shows up, but calendar entrys do not show up.

Family: Calendar and reminders

This account has been setup as a caldav account and is syncing to my Zarafa server

Nothing shows up on the iphone

Now when I switch to the calendar app on the Iphone and I click on the Calendar view it only show the Private calendar and the birthdays. The Gmail calendar and the Family calendar is not shown at all.

So I did the first thing that sounded logical to me. I deleted the Gmail account and recreated it. Nothing changed. The I deleted the Family cadav account and recreated and sundenly the Gmail Account shows up in the Calendar application. hmmm ok.. I delete the gmail account and recreated it and the Gmail calendar dissapears.

Does anyone have any clue on what I should be doing to get all the accounts in there. I can live without the Family calendar but not gmail, and no ICLOUD is not the option I am looking for.

Cheers

I am really at a loss...

I now have my exchange account synced (after the iphone decided it was a good plan to downlad all 4000 messages in my inbox)

I have Gmail mail and agenda

my Caldav server is not working cos IOS5 is sending commands which the caldav server does not understand. I have sent a message to the developers of Zarafa and hope to get an answer.

Same here. For me, the calendar function is effectively broken - caldav doesn´t work at all, google calendar shows only the primary calendar (iphone4, worked with identical settings until IOS 5 update).

Apple devs: Fix this! I´m serious. To me, this is the primary function of my iphone and I believe I´m not the only one. I have 40+ appointments each week and now I´m back to pen&paper. If I need to get an android phone because of this issue, I won´t be back. Google says this problem was known since beta2 - just plain unbelievable.

Likewise!

I use a Synology NAS with webdav / caldav configured on it. I access this calendar from my home PC's and my iOS 4 devices without a problem. As well as from my home network as through the internet. After upgrading my iPad 2 to iOS 5 I noticed the caldav calendar did not show in the calendar app.

I'm reluctant to upgrade my iOS 4 devices to iOS 5!

Can anyone at Apple look into this matter?

Thanks.

Same here: running a caldav server in a Synology, I just upgraded my iPad to 5.0. It can create events on my caldav server, but it doesn't see any modification made on the server by another client.

My 4.2.1 iphone still works ok, so does my Mac. and of course my iPad was ok before the 5.0 update.

Seriously, Apple, I know you want to push iCloud, but could we keep this working?

I'll offer a "me too" with some minor additional information:

I'm using a different CalDAV server, one that I installed myself on an Linux Apache web server. iCal/BusyCal has no problem accessing and displaying the CalDAV calendar; neither does Mozilla's Sunbird. Only the Calendar app on iOS5 (running on an iPad) has a problem.

I found that I could add an event to the CalDAV calendar via i)S5, and it would even display for a short time. Then the calendar would sync to the server; the event would appear on BusyCal, but disappear from the display on iOS5 calendar.

I was able to solve this problem; unfortunately, my solution will may be outside the scope of most users.

- I upgraded to latest version of my CalDAV server, davical, on my apache server, along with AWL. (davical-0.9.9. and libawl-php-0.48-1).

- I upgraded the database schema for the davical information on the apache server.

Here's where we can get to what normal users can do:

- Under iOS5 settings, "Mail, Contacts, Calendars", on my CalDAV account, I went to "Advanced Settings". I found that the URL for my CalDAV setup was not correct; I changed it to the same value I use in iCal/BusyCal.

- Following a hint in:

I changed the Calendar Sync to "All Events" instead of "one month back."

One or more of the above changes did the trick.
