Music App. In iOS 5 doesn't show Lyrics

Hello everybody. Yesterday I updated my iPad 2 with iOS 5. Now in the Music App the Lyrics don't appear anymore. I'm very disappointed and angry about that. Can anybody please tell me if it is a bug or if this was made intentionally. I hope tat this is a bug because the iOS 5 manual for the iPad (Ipad userguide for ios5 - downloaded from ibooks) shows on page 218 the following: "Display a song’s lyrics

Display the album cover by tapping the thumbnail at the top of the screen. Lyrics appear if you’ve added them to the song using the song’s Info window in iTunes." If it is a bug, when will it be fixed? If it is no bug, then I want to go back to its 4.3.5. Can anybody tell me how that would work?

Same issue here. I'm afraid to upgrade my iPhone now because I don't want to lose my lyrics. I've seen references to this topic about some of the iOS 5 betas and I can't believe Apple was not aware of this. Well hopefully a fix for this comes out soon.

Hi, the lyrics are not gone. Theyre still in the song, but the ipad doesn´t show them anymore.

Same issue on my iPad 1.

I hope in a fix. Music app needs a lot of fixes (already crash 4/5 times).

After all, new GUI of Music app it's horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give apple a piece of your mind. The lyrics thing is flat out dumb, and the Music app is a big step backwards in a number of other ways as well.

Yep that's a good idea. I gave my feedback to Apple to tell them, that It is very bad that the lyrics are not shown anymore in the iOS 5 Music App.

CALL TO EVERYONE WHO THINKS THE SAME WAY: Submit your Feedback to Apple and tell them to fix this! The more people will do it, the better it is. Hopefully that will help.

I have also noted the disappearance of the number of songs

and the general worsening of the application.

iOS 5 Has been great....love it on my iPhone 4, love MOST of it on my iPAD 1, but HATE THE MUSIC APP on my iPAD...I DJ with my iPAD, and this new Music APP will make it near impossible for me to find my songs in order to continue DJ'ing...#EPIC MUSIC FAIL...Why Change something that was already the BEST???!!?!?

Don't forget, you can submit feedback multiple times! 😀

Also, it can work. Anyone else remember when the hardware switch was "fixed" to turn off alerts, and everyone was asking "What happened to the orientation lock switch?!" We can make a difference!

The lyrics still show on the iPhone. Need it back on the iPad though. That's where they are used the most.

Hi, thanks for the reply. My questions are: How many Songs do you have on your iPhone. Which iPhone do you use? 3GS or 4, 4s? Did you set the iPhone to factory standard and then resynced your songs? Or what did you do after the ios5 upgrade process? Do you use a mac or PC?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'm trying to circle the problem that we (ipad2) users have. If your Lyrics are still shown in ios5 it could be a ipad(2) only bug.

An answer would be very much appreciated.

I don't think there's really anything to troubleshoot. All iPhone users seem to be seeing lyrics, and no iPad users. It's just broken on iPad. And it looks like a bug, not something taken out on purpose.

Well i don't agree on that. iPhone 4 Users do have the same Problem with the non showing Lyrics in the Music App (at least some of them).

If you don't have that Problem then you're lucky. I was trying to find out why you don't have that issue with your phone. So circling the Problem would be useful.

If there are other iPhone / iPad Users who can still see the Lyrics of their songs, it would be great to tell it here and how they managed to keep their Lyrics.

The others should submit their Problem to Apple. And if they get an answer -

it would be great to read about the response of Apple.
