Can Icloud sync with google calendar and gmail?

Thank you! I was having trouble syncing shared calendars on my iphone 4s and all i had to do was go to : http://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect and select my shared calendars. I had tried adding the calendars 3 ways, through adding Gmail account, adding as an exchange account, and finally adding as Icloud account. None worked for shared calendars (only the personal calendar) until I went to above link. Thanks!!

That's correct, that method connects a Google Calendar to iCal (or Calendar) but does not sync the calendar to any other service. You can also subscribe to a Google calendar on the iCloud Website, that will allow you to see your Google calendar at iCloud.com, but it is still a separate calendar that can be viewed alongside the iCloud calendar.

That's not quite correct (if I read it right) you can connect a Google or iCloud or Yahoo calendar (and many others) at the same time to the iCloud account or to iCal or Calendar as multiple accounts. They are still separate however. Think of it as a calendar condo, 1 building, many residents, no sync 🙂

You've got that right, and what they don't seem to realize is that it makes us (the users) just hate both of them. We're like the kids caught in the middle of a divorce.

-add the url as a new google calandar

-I accept requests via mail

-don't forget to put the sync on: https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect as well as in the various apps.

That's what I suggested earlier in the post, but it's not a sync, just 2 seperate calendars in the same web page.

This didn't work for me. Am I missing a step or something? I followed your link, checked the calendar I wanted, hit save, then nothing. I feel like there's something more, because how does the Google setting know what my iCal account is?

Best $20 I have ever spent. It keeps everything is sync in both places in real time. Every other solution you will see proposed here is a waste of your time and half-assed, at best

Honestly if I knew how crappy Outlook for Mac was and how impossible syncing my Personal (Google) calendar and Work (Outlook 2011 for Mac) calendar was....I'd have stayed on a PC.
