Meg, you obviously like arguing as much as I do. Of course you are not obligated to do anything for anybody here, but with 31,000 points I assumed your motive would be to help as opposed to simply condescend.
The 1st response that said re-ordering/sorting of tasks was finally available in Reminders is on page 9 of this thread (not page 8 as suggested by Chris CA) posted on 9/19/12 by Brett A Ryan. I read that post and then went to Reminders on my iPhone (after I had upgraded to iOS 6) and the ability to re-order/sort tasks was still not available... only the ability to re-order lists. I then checked again in May 2013 (with the most current version of iOS 6 at that time) and sorting tasks was still not available (at least not on my iPhone). Maybe I overlooked it, maybe I missed it altogether... it's possible. But the first time I personally found that the ability to sort/re-order tasks was actually available in Reminders on my iPhone was just a couple months ago. I've read this entire thread multiple times, and I certainly don't think I look silly for sharing my own personal experinece. I have continued to be constructive towards a solution to this problem (that is now fixed) and critical of those on this thread that have communicated a desire to shut this conversation down or to those who have suggested less-than-realistic alternatives/work-arounds.

And, on July 30, I gave my recommendtion of a superior alternative.
No - you didn't (unless you removed a post you made that is no longer there)... you only made another "watchdog" statement about what can and cannot be done on this forum (whcih I still have no idea what authority you have to make). You did however suggest an alternative on 7/10, and at that same time had a wonderful opportunity to make it clear that the Apple Reminders app finally had the functionality of sorting/re-ordering tasks... but you didn't say it. Since THIS thread is specifically about the absence of that feature, and since that feature had been added by 7/10, why not just state that fact in order to help those reading? You have NO obligation, to be sure, but to have the ability to help and not do it is counter-productive IMO. To me, that is the definition of looking silly.
Thankfully, now that the whole point of this discussion is moot, and I personally have the ability to sort and re-order tasks on my Reminders app on my iPhone, I can cease to participate on this thread and stop arguing with you about who is sillier and what can and cannot be discussed on an open forum (or even what the definition of an "open fourm" is). 🙂
It was fun while it lasted though, huh?
