After updating to iOS 5 I wanted to try the wi-fi sync option but its nor working. When I connect my iPhone to charge nothing happens, I try to manualy get it started but I can't because it says my computer is offlline. This is weird since I'm using my mac to write this....
Any ideas?

My computer is running on 10.5.8 and when I search for a software update it says I'm up to date... Can I download an update from somewhere and install it mannualy??
Also, iCloud is working for me now so I've been able to do the security back on iCloud, but still can't sync through wi fi though.
You must be running Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) or newer to have the option for WiFi syncing. You're still running Leopard, and you have the most recent version of Leopard installed, but to upgrade to Snow Leopard you have to buy a copy from Apple to install.
Mac Mini running 10.6.8 and iPad2 running iOS5... Wifi sync Absolutely does not work.. As soon as I unplug the iPad it disappears from iTunes.... Then when I go to iPad and press Sync Now, the iPad cannot find my Mac Mini...
Yep was having the same problem with leopard upgrade to snow leopard for this reason an others and now wi-fi sync works fine
Is your Mac connected via Wi-Fi or on Ethernet? It won't work if latter. (Re: computer not available to sync via icloud)
