HELP!!! iMessage not working....

I cannot seem to get my iMessaging to work at all on my iPhone4...

Every time I send an iMessage, it immediately comes back to me as 'Not Delivered'.

- I have enabled the iMessage feature in the Settings section.

- I have registered with my Apple ID account.

- My caller ID and phone number are set.

- I am connected to WiFi.

- I have verified the people I am messaging have enabled iMessage.

- I have restored and rebooted my phone quite a few times.

I have tried sending iMessages to several different contacts, and every time it's the same 'Not Delivered' result.

I tried sending an iMessage to myself, and that's the only time it worked...

Someone PLEASE help!!!!!!

Here's a wierd one...I can iMessage with any other iPhone 5.x user except the other phone on my AT&T shared minutes plan. My wife and I are on a shared minutes plan and have had no trouble using iMessage texts since we both updated to IOS 5.x (i'm on 4S and shes on 3Gs). Then, all of a sudden, my texts went out blue but changed to green or were "not delivered". Same with her texts to me. But, any one else she or I text with who has an iPhone 5.x goes out iMessage. What gives?

I would check your iMessage settings on both devices to be sure that the "Receive at" portion is correct. Also, I would turn off send as SMS if iMessage fails, unless you don't worry about text messages.

I went through all that last night (except turning off send as sms) to no avail. Even turned off iMessage, rebooted and restarted it. The odd part is, it has been working fine for both of us for the last month and then... One anomaly is that we both share the same apple ID/email. I would suspect this if it hadn’t been working before.

lost imessage about 6pm tonight, my wife and i share minutes, share apple id

up to this evening we used imessage since we got the iphone 4s

when i send to her its blue

when she sends to me its green

when i look at my setting "receive at" it has "verifying" grey out wont let me change

she can use imessage to send to my apple id but not my iphone number

checked contacts and both have iphone next to my number

it works to others

maybe its a network issue verifying may be stuck

your thoughts

your wife can set Send as SMS Off. (General > Messages > Send As SMS)

The mobile number is supposed to be unchangeable. That's how my iMessage configuration has been. iMessage is a messaging system for all Apple devices including iPod touch and iPad Wi-Fi which do not have a mobile number. iMessage really is a conversation between Apple IDs/emails.

All,

Here is some of wehat I found out. I had googled for DAYS trying to find an answer!

At the time I was overseas and needed to use my alarm for local time and the wifi I was using was set to Houston timesso I turned off my time and settings ":Set Automatically", (SETTINGS>GENERAL>DATE&TIME>SET AUTOMATICALLY) and the iMessage and FaceTime would not work. I turned it back on and it took a while for everything to validate, but it worked.

I don't know why that would affect those functions, but it did.

Good luck
