Left click wont open my Music Library. I am using 10.5. When I click my music library I only get a red prohibited symbol. If I right click it shows my library and I can go to songs. My mouse operates normally outside of Itunes, left click is left click and right click is normal as well.
If I right click my library the music appears as it should. Any suggestions?

I'm having the exact same problem after upgrading to 10.5. It also won't open films, tv programmes, purchased, genius or any playlists without having to right click. Tried to repair itunes but still the same.
Hoping Apple release a fix for this quickly.
Same problem. Windows 7 64bit and iTunes 10.5. Can not left click to open playlists, etc. Right click function is normal.
Same here for Windows Vista 64-bit, which I have on my older desktop. After upgrading to iTunes 10.5 I noticed this problem. It's very strange - I can reliably left-click to open the iTunes store, radio, apps, podcasts and genius mixes, but not music, movies, tv shows, genius or playlists. "Purchased" works about half the time. Occasionally it will let me left click one of the other ones, but generally not. Right-click "works," but it still brings up the context-specific menu. Arrow keys on the keyboard work also work.
Strangely, I don't seem to have this issue on my laptop (Windows 7, 64-bit), which I also upgraded to 10.5.
ETA: I tried uninstalling and reinstalling - no help.
Same problem since updating 😟 Podcasts, Apps, Radio and Ringtones work with left click. The rest open with right click but not with left. Everything else works fine till now. Help please!!!

Same problem here on my husbands Sony Vaio Windows 7 home purchased a month ago, but works fine on my Sony Vaio Windows 7 pro purchased almost a year ago. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling too. Plus it only has some of his music (some purchased from itunes and some ripped). I can't make sense of this..... anyone have any ideas.
My husband had the same problem, he has a sony laptop and he turned off the shortcut menu thing on the top of his desktop and now he can left click in itunes. Weird, huh?! But it's fixed.
Same as above. Vista here. Additionally, since the iTunes 10.5 upgrade I can't push music or video to AppleTV.

Got mine working okay. Right click shortcut, troubleshoot compatibility. Windows XP service pack 2.
Btw, for whaterver reason when I changed it to Compatibility mode Windows XP, SP2 it wouldnt let me import. I changed it so it didnt run in compatibility mode and now I can import and I dont have the problem with left clicking either... its a WIN WIN!! Shame we have to do that much junk to get it working.
