Until iOS5 my bluetooth car kit always showed the signal bars.

Yesterday I upgraded to the new version of iOS and now my car kit doesn't show anymore the signal bars!

I don't find any new settings...

    Hai,

same for me and additional it does not show the caller name from the contacts anymore. Seems to be a general problem with iOS5, cause I have found similar problemreports in a german car forum.

I'm having the same problem with a Nokia Bluetooth car kit. Worked perfectly on iOS 4, displayed battery and signal strength along with call details, now all I see is a blank screen.

Same here too :-( iOS 5 no longer shows the signal strength on my 2009 ford fiesta. The contact name is also displaying 'unknown' where before it showed the name from the address book.

    Please fix apple.

Same Here!!! I have a new ford focus 2011, with 4.3.5  bluetooth run properly showing signal bar, battery status and other few things... now is only a chaos!!!! Plese Fix this problema, bluetoot on car is a safety system per us...no jokes!

Same issue re the signal strength monitor on 2010 ford fiesta. It's just gone :(

I have Nokia car kit as well and have the same issue with no battery level or signal indication after upgrading to iOS5. I'm experiencing the issue on both my iPhone 3GS and my wife's iPhone 4. I tried deleting the pair and re-pairing, but it didn't help.

I have the same issue! Bluetooth worked fine in my 2009 Fiesta with both phone and audio, but after iOS5 update it struggles to connect and then drops out intermittently. Also doesn't display the phone signal :/. Please fix Apple!!

Same issue for me in an 11-plate Focus, keep having to look at my phone to check if I've got a signal...not great!

Also the same issue for me with an 11 plate Focus. Excellent os apart from this. As someone said above, this is a safety issue so come on Apple, get it sorted.

i think the trouble is in your phone, you can get and buy the new one hahaha lol

It happens the same to me: I can make and receive calls but no mor signal bars (which is the only way to know the phone has connected to the car avoiding to enter the phone menu).

Ford Galaxy car integrated handsfree Premium kit, Italy.

It worked fine on iOs4 but not anymore with iOs5.

Tried deleting the pair and re-pairing, but it didn't help.

    APPLE PLEASE FIX IT.

    Me too!

I can connect to Ipod only but it cuts out intermittedly; I cannot use the phone stuff (make calls, access phonelist, dictate sms messages etc) and my voice command on my car kit doesnt work!

I'm getting really ****** off with Apple Products now (been an Apple user for 10+ years now).....like I suffered major wifi issues when updating to OSX Lionin August and now iOs5 and this Bluetooth issue! Like I just bought a new Suzuki GV3 and cannot use my hand free phone kit cause of this problem!

    *** bigtime!

I agree with everyone here.....APPLE FIX IT AND FIX IT NOW!!!!

Found a discussion on this matter on the ford owners club http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/26672-problems-with-bluetooth-audio/. Seems this issue arose whilst ios5 was in beta and that ford have an update already. Problem is the dealer has to do it.......... I'll contact my local dealer tomorrow and report what happens........

After your post I googled and found that there's an update for my Bluetooth system.

Downloaded it and installed and now all works fine.

My audio system is an OEM Ford one.

If you're intersted look at this link (in italian): http://www.kugaclubitalia.com/t1087-aggiornamento-modulo-bluetooth

    Bye
