Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Icloud cannot verify my apple id, supposed to send verification mail to email but no email sent.

Icloud cannot verify my apple ID, it is supposed to send me a verification mail, but I do not recieve any mail. My Icloud is not working because of this.

iPhone 4, iOS 5

Have you checked that your apple IDs are all the same in itunes and app store? maybe this has some effect.


I manually changed them by going into the app store and itunes on my phone then going to the bottom of the featured page and signing out, then sign back in with your new Apple ID.


This is only if you had to create a new apple ID as i did.

I'm experiencing the same thing. How frustrating! Tried to get things working for about 2 hours yesterday. Still haven't received a verification e-mail, can't verify my e-mail account on the account management web page, hope that this gets resolved soon. Sounds like we may just need to wait and see.


Has anyone found anything that actually works to resolve this issue?

Try calling Apple support and ask for a real human being. After holding for a while I was eventually transferred to someone who had back-end access to the verification system. She was very friendly and assured me that it was nothing I did, but that there are "glitches" in the servers.


I am all set up now and everything is working fine. Worth the wait.

Hi, I'm brand new to Apple and have just got an iPhone 4S after my old Nokia bit the dust! I had the same problem getting my iCloud account verified even though I had held an Apple iTunes account for some years due to owning an iPod.


I had a hunch to just check my 'Blocked List' in my Hotmail account and guess what? Yep, there was the Apple iD email address blocked because at some stage or other in the past, I probably thought it was spam and blocked it. Anyway, I removed it from the blocked list and then went to the Apple iD site and re-entered my account name and password. Apple sent the verification email to my Hotmail account but............it didn't show in my Inbox, it showed in the Junk box!!!!


I simply moved it to the Inbox, 'told' my Hotmail account that it was "safe'' and followed the instructions. Of course, it meant I had to reset my password but that's no big deal. And now I'm a happy bunny with iCloud on my new iPhone working just fine!!

I was having the same problem with no verification email being sent until I used Apple's My Apple ID website.


I clicked "Manage Your Account" and logged in, and discovered that my primary email address was not verified. When I tried to verify it, I was given an error message explaining that my email address was already in use by another Apple ID. So I dug through my keychain data and found that I had registered the same email address under another Apple ID for the Apple Online Store.


I was finally able to verify my iCloud by changing my primary email address to one that was not registered to my other existing Apple IDs. My tentative conclusion is that the email address you use to verify your Apple ID must not already be registered to any other Apple ID.
