can you change siri voice?
Is there any way to change Siri's voice? In the UK it's a male voice but I can't find any way of changing the voice
Thanks

I was thing "Maaaassssster"
If you change the Language to English (United States) you get a female voice, however certain items it takes longer to search for things, even though they don't work in UK, e.g. find a pizza place nearby, in English (UK) will almost straightaway tell you only in U.S, however if you're in UK but use English (US) It will take a while longer. It did for me anyway, so I swapped it back after one try. However I think if you use it for a while, the speed does become the same then.
If you're in the U.K., regardless of which language you change Siri to, you're going to have to wait a long time for an answer if you ask were a pizza place is as location based services haven't been enabled in the U.K. yet.
If you're in the U.S. and you change the language to English (U.K.), you'll lose location base services in Siri.
You can already do this. Just say to siri: Siri, call me "Daddy". from now on she calls you daddy.
How good would it be to have Darth Vader. Come on apple give people what they want
Darth Vader hats what we want come on Apple
paging James Earl Jones!
I'm bilingual; I speak English and American :). But I'd love to have the UK voice if it will understand my hybrid accent, which sounds 80% American. I've had people ask if I'm Canadian. Lol
I haven't upgraded yet but the rumor is that Siri will be on my iPad 3. Can't wait.
It would be fun to have a selection of voices; Darth Vader, Bugs Bunny, George Carlin or the computer from Star Trek. Even HAL 9000. Come on, Apple, there's a market here for selling voice packs!
it would be awesome if it was morgan freemans voice...
Same here I be an English-American. Now as a hetro - sexual male (can I say that these days? š - or would I be offending a non-hetro-sexual male? "probably"! šæ )
So I would REALLY prefer SiRi to be "female" š , I imagine the same would apply vice-versa. A hetro - sexual female would most likey prefer SiRi to be "male".
Am I right? Also I imagine most "males"? in SFCA would prefer an afflicted semi-male accent?
It would be very nice to be able to select a voice for my "HAL in my pocket" - oh Please?
Speaking as a heterosexual Englishman, I've grown rather accustomed to having my very own gentleman's gentleman (as Jeeves described himself) š
Don't think it matters now that iOS 6 is out but French (Canada) has a female voice and is similar enough asides from some regional differences/the accent barrier isn't as big as UK/US english; sadly UK english will stay male. If Apple can get Dictation in many voices, why not siri?
I'm ever hoping that someone like Apple will sell voice sets for Siri. I'd buy Vader in a heartbeat! I would love to hear, "What is thy bidding, my master?" rather than the two short dings telling me Siri is ready to listen.
Dunno 'bout Vader but I'd love to have siri voiced by M-M-Max Headroom!
It would be AWESOME it they had a Benedict Cumberbatch voice, I would buy it:) or Chris Helmsworth acting like Thor
can you change siri voice?
