Subscribe to Public Calendar from Google

When trying to subscribe to my (publicly shared) iCloud Calendar from Google Calender (as a view-only solution) I get the following error message:

Could not fetch the url because robots.txt prevents us from crawling the url.

Tried using webcal://, http:// and https:// .. Will this be fixed in the future?

Thanks!

Hi Roly,

iCloud only provides a read only share URL. This means that you will only be able to view your calendar from Google Calendar, you won't be able to add events to it. You would have to move all of the events to your icloud calendar by exporting the "Roly Allen" one from google and importing it into the icloud one on icloud.com or with iCal.

jasonlfunk...I have been trying to find a solution to my problem for ages so I was delighted to stumble across your service! 🙂

However, a few minutes after I added the URL to Google calendar, it comes up with an error message that says"Failed to import calendar from "webcal://icaltogcal.com/share.php c=17e039ddbb3bd17c9a8dd664c33c7f0f52d992f36cd983.15982667"

Do you know what this means and if there is a fix for it?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, that doesn't look like an iCloud calendar URL.for the URL:

I think the URL is correct and complete as I can add it as a calendar in Outlook. Any ideas?
