Well, I can only say thanks. It amazes me how many times I forgot the @, put in two or more ..., or just swapped letters around, thinking they looked right. I'm not dyslexic, but you could prove that by me. Slowly following your sound instructions saved the day.

Here's a refreshing experience for those who have their panties in a wad: I set up sync system in Outlook 2011; my contacts and calendar immediately synced to Mail and iCalendar, and they immediately synced to iCloud. No sweat. On the other hand, I still can't get Outlook 2011 mail to sync to iCloud even when following dontheilluminator's technique.

I have mail set up and it seems to be syncing well. I have two email accounts set up: my iCloud account and a gmail account. I used Mail.app to send a test message from iCloud to GMail and it showed up instantly, but in both my inbox and in my junk mail folder. I marked it as "not junk" and then there were two copies in my inbox, linked into one conversation.

I cannot get my calendar or contacts to sync though. I have enabled it in Sync Services but no soap. My inability to get my contacts to populate in Outlook from iCloud is probably what caused my test email to be classified as junk.

iCal and Outlook *appear* to be syncing, but it's only local, not through iCloud. I can tell because nothing goes to my iPhone. Additionally, when I create an appointment on my iPhone it appears immediately in iCal but fails to appear in Outlook. I must conclude that there is still not sync between iCloud and Outlook for calendars and contacts.

Mail doesn't "sync". It is just an IMAP account and all mail is stored on the server and accessed directly from there.

That's not surprising. As mentioned frequently in this thread, Outlook for Mac is NOT compatible with iCloud because Microsoft have not included the industry standard CalDAV and CardDAV protocols that iCloud uses. iCloud does not use SyncServices.

I just want to say that changing my iCloud password worked. No weird server prefixes, nothing like that. Just changed the password and things are rolling.
