How can I teach Siri to pronounce my name correctly?

I suppose it depends on what your surname is. Obvously no-one can help if they don't know what your surname is. And, of course, you don't want to reveal it in case you get 47 million stalkers knocking at your door. I doubt anyone would blame you for this. How about a like sounding example instead?

Correction. I see you are in NY. Please amend the previous to read 47 million 'John Lennon style' stalkers.

Joking apart. Judging by some of the names I've seen around lately, especially many Eastern European names, I'd probably be hard pushed to find another human being in my country who could pronounce them, let alone expect a machine of any kind to be able to do this. Perhaps Apple is being a bit ambitious this time?

Unless of course your name is John Smith.

You're looking at it the wrong way. Fate is telling you that it's you who is mispronouncing your name and Siri says it correctly (unless your name has 18 consonants with no vowels). Just go with the flow (& Siri)!

Ask Siri about one of your contacts, when she brings up the desired contact with incorrect pronunciation tell her "it's pronounced, insert correct pronunciation." Siri will then ask how to pronounce first then last name, one at a time. You will have the opportunity to review the different ways she interpreted your voice and choose the correct pronunciation. Hi-I finally managed to get Siri to pronounce my name correctly-using phonetic spelling; however, doing so caused all my emails to have the phonetic spelling of my name rather than the correct spelling. how or can I edit this? I did set my Siri info to my myself in Contacts. What next? I have iPhone 5c with 8.0.2 Any/all help appreciated.
