I have a 49 min project in which I have placed multiple songs from itunes as background music. Although it is fine while editing in final cut pro x, when it makes the movie (at same HQ prefences) there is a clicking sound when the music plays that gets worse and worse towards the end of the movie.
Thoughts?
This is on a iMac with the latest Lion OS.

You should only used uncompressed audio in video applications.
Are you saying that putting music into Itunes, compresses it? It there a better way to import the music into final cut pro x?

That depends on your iTunes settings. If your preferences in iTunes are set to convert to AIFF then you will have uncompressed files. If the media ia AAC for MP3 it should be converted to AIFF at 48k.
I have the SAME issue, only my video is only 3 minutes long. All the music and vocals were brought in from Garageband. If you listen to the project in Final Cut X, it sounds fine. But when I export it to ANY format, I get the ridiculous clicking noise. This is horrible! I export my work, the songs and the movie always on the highest settings - but to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas?

What format is the exported media? It should be AIFF 48k for use with digital video.

I have to redo a lot of my audio, it would have been great if this information would have been given upfront before completing my whole project. Oh well, maybe I just missed it. Thanks again anyway.
PROBLEM RESOLVED! I converted all my audio files with AIFF files and now the popping/clicking noise is gone!! That's excellent news for me! Thanks for all your folks' help.
