Problems uploading to Photo Stream

Hello,

I am having trouble uploading photos from my PC to iCloud Photo Stream.I have installed iCloud Control Panel and enable Photo Stream and set my directories. When I take a picture on my iPhone it works great downloads right to my PC and iPad. However when I add a picture to my Upload folder nothing happens. I did one yesterday and then this afternoon it magically appeared on my phone, but hours later. I just added another picture to my upload folder and nothing for the last 30 min or so.Not sure if I did anything to initiate the upload, it seems like it should be automatic and immediate. Any ideas????

finally i seem to have resolved this issue on my windows PC. the 2 latest things i did was to uninstall/install the iCLoud control panel. But after doing it, it didnt seem to work immediately. so was fiddling around again. then i decided to remove the existing photos that were in the Uploads folder which contain old and new photos together, and just placed fresh new photos and then i noticed they were uploaded !!

Hey, i dont know if this will work for everyone but after trying all of the above (none of which worked) i spotted one commenter that talked about sharing properties of the folders - I've just checked my uploads folder and it was set to 'read only'. After i unchecked this all my photos in my upload folder ( on my Window 7 64x PC ) made their merry way onto my Ipad 🙂

This is the advise Apple give, it worked for me. For most people it's due to lack of power:

I don't see photos in Photo Stream on my iOS device:

Check the following:

- From your Home screen, tap Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream, and make sure the slider is set to the ON position.

- From the Home screen, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, make sure the slider is set to ON, and that your device is connected to a wireless network.

- Ensure that Camera app is closed on the device where you took the photo. Photo Stream will not upload photos from an iOS device until the Camera app is closed.

- Ensure your iOS device has not fallen below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, Photo Stream downloading and uploading are disabled when the battery reaches this threshold. Downloading and uploading will resume once you charge your device, and the battery charge is greater than 20%.

- I don't see photos in my iPhoto or Aperture Photo Stream album
