Caller ID not working on iPhone 4S

Just got an iPhone 4S today. Also switched from AT&T to Verizon. For some reason, I am only getting caller ID on contacts that have the country code added to their numbers. I turned off International Assist, and it didn't do anything. When I add the country code to the number in the Address Book, the caller ID works just fine.

Is there any way to fix this? Or is there any way to add all the country codes at once instead of doing it manually to 400+ phone numbers?

Hi I had a similar issue on my new Verizon iphone 4s. I worked it out mostly with them on the phone. the main problem for me was that i needed to turn off group texts in the message settings. it's a setting much like a reply all in emails. when you send a group text, when someone replies, it replies all i think. anyways, it scrambles up your contacts and kills the caller ID for many of your numbers. Try this then reset your phone (hold down menu button at same time as power, keep holding till you see apple, past the power off slide image, till you see the apple. then let go)

Switching the language from English to German, then back to English fixed my problem completely! Tried all of the following without success:

1) Power off, power on

2) Reset hold

3) Reset Network Settings

4) Turn off group texting

5) *228 option 1

If these haven't worked for you, definitely try switching the language from current language -> another language -> back to desired language.

yes, a few times. hard reset, network reset, + in front of contact #s, 228, 22899, reset hold, uploads, downloads, verizon, apple, itunes.

i've been trying everything from every forum since i got this phone in sept. i give up for a week or so then i'll try again at different sites and sources.

guess i'll just have to wait for apple and verizon to get it together. i was thinking about getting a mac but not so much now, didn't have these probs with my android.

Just to make sure about the language reset, you need to go to Settings, General, International and Language. At the Language screen you need to select a language other than English and then press Done. After a moment your phone will change to the new language. Then go through the same process and change back to English.

My contacts are synced with my employer's server and I do not have a problem.
