Waiting for App Store to download Mac OS X Server Add On.

Hi there,

I am trying to upgrade Mac OS X Server to Mac Lion Server. I get this message when i try to install the OS X Lion

Waiting for App Store to download Mac OS X Server Add On.

Please help.

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

the message is normal, you are requested to wait!


check that, when "install" is pressed in App Store a new icon should go to your dock (the "install MacOSX lion" application itself).


the upgrade is up to 4Gb and apple serves at no more than 200-400Kbps (at least to my country), so be patient.


If you need more patience, but JUST NOOOOOWWW!!! =)

then you can see your network activity in Utilities -> Activity Monitor -> Network


Let us know if there is no Activity during the download!

And also if you successfully install lion!

Hi propably the problem is solved by now but since nobody has written the solution here I write some comments.


I had the same problem and the solution was easy. You just have to buy the server version as well.


From app store find "OS X Lion Server, v10.7.2" and install (buy) that as well. After that the isntallation continues.
