AirPlay mirroring...small picture on tv

I've looked everywhere and haven't found any mention of my problem. Hopefully someone else has seen this, and can suggest a possible fix.

I have iPad 2 and Apple TV 2 ...both successfully upgraded to iOS 5. AirPlay and mirroring also function ok...to a point. When I use the mirroring feature, I get a small picture that only fills the top left hand corner of my tv screen...not letterbox, it's full screen but small and uses only a quarter of the available screen real estate. I have an older rear projection tv that defaults to 480p...but that's ok, I've learned to live with that. The AVT2 is connected directly by HDMI. I've rebooted, reset, restored and every other possible 're'. I've also adjusted the aspect ratio on my tv set, and tried all the available resolution settings on the device. Everything else works just fine (including in-app airplayfunction). My only problem is the small iPad screen image I get on my tv screen. Anybody else have this problem? Any ideas?

I'm having the exact same problem with the same hardware. Ipad2 iOS5, AppleTV2. All upgraded. Airplay from iTunes on Laptop fills the screen but Ipad2 Mirror uses just the top quarter screen. Sat on hold with Apple for an hour and a half and just gave up.

hi im new to apple tv i have the 3rd gen box i have the same problem with the screen mirroring getting a 60% square box to view, it does help that i am playing it through a 60 inch tv as it does make it barable if you are streaming movies or browsing etc. the reason i am posting on here is that i use my projector to run the apple tv screen mirroring through, my projector is a accer k330 and when running the mirror through here i can change my settings from 16.9 or 4.3 to LBOX this gives me the full 120 inch screen of my projecter making it a cool alternitive to watching the small 60% i get on my tv.although i no thats not helpfull for the tv issue i thought it may be worth mentioning and do hope apple can come up with a soulution.
