waiting for changes to be applied

What seems to work for me is to uncheck photos (then sync) and recheck photos (sync).

If the sync doesn't work I 'X' out to cancel the never ending sync, unplug then reconnect iPhone and try again.

My first iPhone, being the 4S and in my research it seems this issue goes back to early 2011. Apple c'mon.

Another problem where the only solution is: cry.

In iTunes under Photos I unchecked "include videos" and also searched the photo folders on my PC that sync to the iPhone and deleted the Thumbs.db files that Windows creates from thumbnails, then the sync worked again. Not sure which step may have resolved but sync is working again.

MAKE SURE Itunes should is up to date to 10.6.1, in iTunes uncheck* open itunes when this iPhone is connected, apply, make sure your iphone is NOT plugged in at this time (USB completely removed) Exit itunes and re open, check* open itunes when this iPhone is plugged in, exit itunes again and plug in your iPhone, wait for itunes toopen (if it doesnt just open it anyways). Once your in iTunes dont let the iPhone sync, exit the sync, go to Help at the top of iTunes and click Run Diagnostics, do a full diagnostics check, if everything is okay then right click your (name)iPhone under the devices section and click backup, let it backup and once done you shall be able to sync normal again!!!

I verified have not made login (I had logout during process) to Itunes Store.

I just entered login and password and finally all app transfer process could resume.

I've been dealing with this issue for months. This morning I decide to try an attempt to fix this by following the advice listed on this and several other similiar threads..

As of right now, I have:

-completely uninstalled ALL Apple software on my Windows 7(64bit) machine following the instructions on the support side

-conducted a complete factory restore of my iPhone 4S

-dowloaded and check out any "voice memos" on my phone off which there is none..

-incrementally turned off various options on the synch and the ONLY THING THAT WORKS is the contact and outlook syching works..

NOTHI(NG ELSE.. I can't synch apps, music ring tones movies. books photos nothting.. everything else fails. And now since I did a factory restore, per the advice given. I have a base phone with NO apps, NO music,.. just a regular freaking **** phone!

Would a Apple employee actually get off thier butts and fix their freaking software!!!!

Sorry, I've had enough of this.. I've had a iPhone3 for years and never had this kind of problem.

Then its your USB cable or your itunes isnt updated. Try also going into your control panel, click on SYSTEM and go to your drivers, check to see if your usb ports are up to date and also you can try putting the USB in the ports on the back of your computer

In iTunes, when your device is connected, try right clicking on your device under the devices tab and click RESET WARNINGS. Its usually just something simple that stops you from syncing, its not your iPhone

My USB drivers are all up to date. I've tried 3 different USB ports and 2 different Apple cables. I just tried the reset warnings, and it still locks up.

I've let it run on previous attempts for hours and still no response.

I know its not the phone. Its iTUNES, but I'm stuck with iTunes if I want the iPhone.

Right now I've deleted my iTunes folder and re-downloading all my songs and apps from teh App Store.. we'll see what happens next.

Have you tried my instructions from my first post? Please explain exactly what it is doing and il try and help you out.. I dont knoe anything bout windows 7 its to much for me i stick with windows xp. My best bet would be to talk to a apple assistant for help. Maybe your computer is missing some drive or idk

iTunes locks up at the "Waiting for Changes to be applied" when synching my phone.

As I mentioned I have totally uninstalled and reinstalled ALL apple software on my laptop. I have done a complete Factory Restore my phone. I made sure I did the install was done in the exact sequence as mentioned on the Apple thread, I reinstalled w/a fresh download of iTunes. And I deleted my iTune library.

Since the re-installed iTunes I have downloaded all my "apps" and "Songs" from the iTunes library. And if I try to synch ANYTHING other than Outlook and contacts.. I tunes locks up on the "Waiting for changes to be applied".

I've let it run for about 20 minutes and iTunes is still unresponsive. I've tried different cables, and different USB ports.

Hmm. What firmeware are you on? 5.1

iTunes Version 10.6.1.7 and firmware on iPhone 5.1
