After multiple attempts, iTunes Match continues to freeze in Step 2. It states 1251 songs checked 0 items remaining. Any suggestions as to how to resolve this issue?

I was in the beta of iTunes Music match and everything work fine. Step two matched 7000 songs and uploaded the rest. Friday the 7th it stop working. I guess that my online catalog got purged and I would have to start over again. So I disable music match on all my devices and my Mac then I enabled it in iTunes and now it's stuck on step two.

    Help apple.

Yeah I've been having the same problem. Worked beautifully during the initial beta, and now that I've paid for the service it no longer works.

I know it's beta, but don't allow it to be purchased if it is currently down.

    Me too...

The first time I turn iTunes Match on and it goes well.

But it stuck in step 2 after 20632 checked and 315 remaining...

I tried to restart the whole process and it got worse.

Right now, no matter how many times I tried...

It always stuck in step 2 20947 checked and 0 remaining... ><

    any suggestion or solution?

Same boat here. Tried three times over the weekend, each time it claims to have processed 10908 items (out of 11023 in my Library), 0 items remaining. No progress after that, though iTunes has been uploading several hundred K per second for the last several hours. Maybe it's uploading my unmatched stuff? Who knows?

Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in their cloud strategy overall if they can't get even get music matching working in a reasonable amount of time. It's been in beta for a couple months, shouldn't be this slow, definitely shouldn't be this uncommunicative about what it's doing.

At the very least it should indicate that everything's going ok and eventually it will complete. Right now I simply have no idea if it's working or just caught in an endless loop.

Perhaps it will get fixed when iTunesd MAtch is released.

Since it is still in beta, you should not be posting in public forums as you agreed to with yoru NDA.

As soon as iTM was available on the GR of iTunes, I paid my $24.95 and just like others, just hangs at part two. I'm not all that worried, yet about it, but if it wasn't ready, it shouldn't had been made available to the public.

    Chris,

This IS the release version (that I paid $24.99 for the privlege of utilizing a SaaS that doesn't work). Not a beta version, no NDA...100% appropriate that this is the place where this discussion should be held. It seems that I am not the only one with this issue.

Apple, what's up with resolving this issue?

It will likely get fixed when iTunes Match gets released.

And Apple doesn't post here in these user forums.

Same problem here, but my stuck at step 2, 1 song remaining for the past 24 hours. Let's hope the live version works perfectly.

Btw just to ask, I just got mine about 2 days ago; does the free 3 months still apply? Cuz the subcription under account description still states 1 year.

    Thanks!

Looks like apple fix the problem. I disable iTunes match for a day or two. Just now I enabled it, It got to step three and remember all the songs that I uploaded before iTunes match stop working. Almost 9000 songs available and 600 uploading.  16 already went thur now. I have to check if I can download them on my iOS devices.

    Everyone try it again.

I've restarted everything twice & it keeps getting stuck on Part 2.  I have about 110 songs left out of 18,000 plus...which I'm sure will need to be uploaded because I have some original music in my library... BUT IT WON'T GO PAST "Part 2"

Today is the first day of the official release so I'm assuming the process should work.  Any ideas on what to try are appreciated.
