problems deleting back-up on iCloud?

I am having the exact same problem. I am thinking of just restoring my iPhone 4 this evening and deleting the back up and doing my first restore sync through my mac book pro. I will let you know how it goes. I hope it works being I have no problem deleting the iPhone 4S back up on my iPhone 4S. So this gives me some hope of it working.

I had the same problem. I inadvertently created a backup of my iPhone 3GS on iCloud. I also have an iPad, and on the iPad I could go into Settings-->iCloud-->Storage & Backup and delete the backup that had been created for the iPhone. Interestingly, I could not find a similar way to delete it from my iPhone itself, however.

I have the same problem, and I still can't delete the backup even through my iPad or the computer.

Same here. I created a backup using ipad. To recover the space i tried everything on the ipad, i turned off the backup on the ipad and deleted the account, but to no avail. If i login from an iphone i get an option to delete the ipad backup, but it doesnt do anything and just gives an error. I tried setting up the ipad again with the same account, but no luck.

i turned off iPad backup on the iPad. And then deleted the backup from iCloud under the Manage Storage page of the iPad. No problem. I was not able to do it from may laptop in any way at all.

It seems like it may need to be done from the actual device that owns that backup. Although it is silly to offer it on the pc app if it cant be done that way.
