How can you switch between text message and iMessage on a specific contact?

I Found out that if you go to your contacts for what ever number your messaging and put in the fact that the number your texting is in fact an iphone then it will switch back to iMessage instead of texting

I recently had this problem and tried resetting networks and all of that but the simplest way to do it a erase from recent , delete their contact and add them again

I had that problem about five minutes ago, all you need to do it delete the chat with that person and then remake it again. Then it appears back to iMessage.

Go to face time then silect your contact number then send a mass

This is actually easy. When you are in iMessage click new messages and start typing in the persons name. You will see iMessage as one of the options for that person on the right (if they use iMessage) then just click that. It will switch the chat you already have to use iMessage instead.

iMessage uses the last used method you use with that contact, even if used on the iPhone. This is why the contact is grouped on the computer, and on your iPhone messages you will see each type in it's own thread.
