iCloud bookmark sync problems with iPad

I have the identical problem. Anyone have a solution?

I have a horrendouns experience with iCloud and bookmarks! As you my bookmarks are NOT synching across my iPad2, iPhone 4, MBP, and iMac. What's worse iCloud has created 6 times dupplicates of all my bookmarks and folders. Went to my local Apple Store and the Genius guy couldn't help me either. I have reset Safari on both on my MBP and iMac. Turned off iCloud/Bookmarks. Rebooted all the devices. Turn iCloud/bookmarks on. Let iCloud sync and each time to my horror I get EVERYTHING back multiplied 6 times! How in the world is this awful anomaly happening? I have spent over 15 hours already trying to fix this. Everything else based on my testing seems to be working except bookmarks. Not cool at ALL!

It just keeps getting better.... I went to sign-in into my iCloud account from Firefox and the iCloud site told me I needed to upgrade to the latest Firefox in order to use the site. Well, I'm using the latest Firefox browser (version 3.6.23)... looks like Apple released this without fully testing it. Not kewl!

Yep same here except it's my IPHONE4 not pulling from the cloud and stuck on the "Bookmarks are being synced..." message, whilst my iPad2 is fine and working like a charm. I'm so glad others are seeing the same, I was tearing my hair out and searching this last few days. Is this likely to be a "sorry, there's nothing we can do" issue?!?

I hope not... I hope Apple is noticing this issue and working to fix the syncing problem we are experiencing though...

I gave up and used mobile me for now:

Settings>mail contacts calendars>mobile me> bookmarks ( turn them on, you'll get a text box warning that bookmarks will be turned off in iCloud)

Now my bookmarks are all there, which is what I need until they fix it.

What computer OS are you using? Snow Leopard or Lion? My father's having trouble with a SL-ios5 mix, I'm running Lion-ios5 and am not having trouble. I know iCloud is not available for SL, and he doesn't actually want iCloud. We can't get the Safari "syncing" to stop - hard resets, deleted iCloud account, etc. - no effect.

I am usinng Windows 7.

on phone for over an hr with Apple

shut down all apps - reset settings - not worked - everything they tried didnt work

was gonna get iphone4s but not till this is fixed

Anyone get this reolved - lady said theyd been getting calls about this but the two i spoke to said theyd not got any but senior guy was aware

Spoke to their senior technician

he deleted software that was in an app data itunes folder (etc) and said if i restored then it would work

while putting everything back on my iphone it gave same error about bookmarks

seems this is not happening for everyone - i asked him if i bought new iphone4s would it happen - he said he doubts it but i aint buying it till i get my HUNDREDS of bookmarks back

Never worked - was c folder - users - app date - iTunes folder - I tunes software - got me to delete that and

Restore ~ bookmarks still won't sync

Other guy had me close all apps running

Go to general and reset all settings then try

Its their problem but they don't seem bothered

I'm ringing senior technician tomorrow.

It's fine for some ppl - not working for others

If you google this error has occurred on other iOS updates not just since iOS 5

Same here. ipad2 won't sync... but iphone4 will.
