Problems with Push Email

I'm having problems with getting push email via iCloud to work on my iPhone 4 (stilling waiting on my iPhone 4s to come in). I am using iOS 5 and push works for a while and then stops. If I do a hard reset of the iPhone I can get it to work again for a while (max is about 12 to 16 hours or so), before it stops pushing again. I have also turned push notifications off as well as iCloud mail and then turned them back on, followed by the hard reset. Again, push works for a while and then stops. If it helps to answer this question, I also migrated from Mobile Me to iCloud.

Does anyone know of a permanent solution to this problem? Thanks for any insight or help you may be able to provide.

Same issue on my iPad and iPhone, both on 3G. No emails from iCloud get pushed unless the Mail app is running in the background. Even then, a couple of times it still didn't push.

I assume this is another growing pain thing and will be corrected soon enough. For now it seems to basically work with the Mail app running in the BG, which is no big deal to me.

Solution to the problem:
1 - go into mac www.icloud.com
2 - enter with a different id mobileme, and create a new account for free
@ me.com
3 - On the iphone, go to mail and add the new account in icloud
4 - Sync only emails
5 - Results:
The new icloud account registers our device and everything works fine
6 - "Push" is working again on both counts

Hello everyone,

I talked to several people who represent Apple and they told me:''- This may be a problem with the Apple server, because ofall persons who, at the same time download iOS 5.''

I hope that Apple's servers revidendront to normal or so AppleiOS 5.0.1 that will solve this problem.

PS: On the site of MacGeneration.com (site info Apple) there is an article that says Apple has hired the head of the Data-CenterYahoo!. Yahoo!, which has never had a problem with the data center (servers).

So Apple would have hired to redo it the servers in its own wayand, of course, properly so there ale more beug like this.

The article is on this link. (in French)

it is not apple servers, if that was the case then people would be having problems getting email even while the mail app is running. The problem is with the mail api. once the mail app is closed down for some reason the api that is used to get push while the app is not running gets turned off.

The only way to get emails pushed is to keep the app running in the background. There is no temporary fix or server issues, because if it was a server issues then i wouldnt be getting emails on my mac, but i do.

so until apple sends out an update, just keep the mail app running
