Outlook 2010 calendar "Setup could not be started" -- Error: 0x8004010F

So after 14 years of refusing to update Outlook I finally do so, and WHY? Because of iCloud.

Okay, done. Now Office 2010 is working liking a charm -- and I decide it's time to setup iCloud. I do exactly as instructed, and...NO!

At the very END of the setup, I suddenl;y get a message that "Setup could not be started could not be started because of an unexpected error." Being a good citizen, I email the report to Apple, and the email contains further information:

"Error: 0x8004010F: ZebraBootstrap::ActivateDataFile: Could not create msgservice"

NOW WHAT? I read some discussions here and:

1. Tried logging out, logging back in and starting over. Three times. No dice.

2. Tried changing my new me.com account to DEFAULT in Outlook 2010. No love.

I'm up against it now. Does anyone have a clue what I could do to get everything to make friends?

Wanted to offer a bit of help with this, even though it does seem to be answered, there is a possibility that this will not work for all user with this same error code, as this code can also be realted to a conflict with iCloud control panel, and Mobile Me control panel being installed on the computer at the same time.

The easiest answer is to ensure that you are logged out of iCloud control panel, and then remove the Mobile Me control panel from the computer. This should resolve the conflict in the back ground, also ensure that your have the mobile Me add-in turned off in outlook.

If this does not reoslve the issue, then remove and reinstall iCloud control panel. One final note, always reboot after making major changes to your computer just to ensure that the changes have taken full effect, but that should resolve these types of issues,
