iMessage stuck waiting for activation...

i just got a new email with iCloud and it's working fine

But the problem is that I can't activate my

iMessage ...

Under iMessage says

Waiting for activation.


There are no restrictions at all on my iPhone

Connected over wifi and 3G network...

Rebooted phone

And still no luck

I even did a full restore on it and no luck...

What shoul I do...

iPhone 3GS, iOS 5

I think I may have a solution for your prob, it just happened to me yesterday at 11pm and I kept on reading and reading and trying but nothing. Then I starting watching videos on youtube. And I finally fixed my problem at 3:00am haha.


Here's a possible solution for you.


Settings > Wi-Fi (select your current wi-fi connection and press the blue circle with the arrows > Go down to where it says DNS and press it, delete the current number and put this: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.8, 4, 4


Don't try on waiting with iMessage or Face Time it'll still will say "waiting for activation" but try on sending a message. It'll work, it work for me.


As soon as a put those numbers my Push Notifications started working so good and so fast.

This is exactly the solution I had already posted above together with an explanation of why it works. I'm glad it worked for you too.
