iOS 5 Bluetooth ford problem

I have a 2011 (UK 11 reg) Ford Mondeo with built in Sony radio with sat nav, Bluetooth and CD. It has been linking fine to my iPhone 4 via Bluetooth both for phone calls and audio as needed running iOS 4. However since upgrading to iOS 5 it won't keeps saying it can't establish data connection, audio breaks up then the phone disconnects intermittently, and the radio no longer displays my phone signal strength which I relied up to know I had a signal.

This is a major pain as I need it to be reliable as it was until recently for work support phone calls. Can anyone please advise how to resolve this? Please don't say take it to my Ford dealer, 1) they will likely have no clue 2) why the **** should I when it's Apple's upgrade which has caused the problem - it was fine before I installed iOS 5.

I use the USB connection for an iPod Classic by the way, which would not work for phone calls anyway. Love how the censored a very minor swear word in regular use!

I have a 2010 Escape Hybrid and my fuse panel is on the right passenger side of the center console. Your owners manual can tell you exactly where it is, but it will be ether under the steering wheel or on the passenger side under the glove box area. The manual will also tell you which 15 amp fuse it is, mine was Number 3

I just noticed yesterday that my i phone 5 will not show u p the phone contacts anymore (Ford Mondeo titaniun x 2010).So i got hold of my sons i phone 4 running 5.1 and it works fine .So looks as if its the phone and not the car.

If someone phones me then yes i can answer the call but its a pain when you want to make an outgoing call as there are no numbers /contacts listed on the screen now .

I also tried an Htc this morning and it also worked fine listing all the contacts !!!!!.

I have the same car and the same phone and have no problems. Contacts, last calls, incoming, outgoing, song names and artists all there. Even Tunein radio app diplays the station being streamed and Youtube clips content is shown on the car's display. I even found that before I got my iPhone 5, the IOS6 update on my old iPhone 4 worked perfectly.

Maybe try Settings, Bluetooth, Ford Audio, 'Forget this device' and then repair it. If that fails, reboot your radio by pressing the off button on the unit for about 30 seconds then try again. If that fails, all I can suggest is to go to your Ford Dealer. Hope that helps!

I thought about re setting the radio as i read it on the net to clear the radio /system but i have read through the manual and i does not say how to do it. i thought that it might do this when i pulled the radio fuse but i guess not . .Strange thing is there are hotmail contacts coming up as well as phone contacts !! The fact that it works and shows up on the radio but not the converse screen is very annoying .

I purchased the iphone 5 and quickly found out the Bluetooth was not compatible with my Infinti. I had the apple tech guy on the phone with Infiniti and they flat out told me the iphone 5 is not compatible. The Infiniti guy said its NOT compatible with most autos including Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, BMW, and Ford. I have asked everyone I know with the iphone 5 and every person reports it does NOT work. I returned the phone and reactivated my old iphone 3 that works just fine. Remember you have 14 days to return the phone for a full refund!

I am sorry, the information you have been given is incorrect and just a cop out from your Infiniti Dealer. I work in Australia, consulting to the Motor Industry, and I have personally paired my iphone 5 to many Fords, BMW's, Audis, VW's, Toyotas, Hyundais, Mercedes, Mazda.etc...in fact I have not had a problem to date connecting my phone to any car, although I have not tried to pair it with an Infiniti.

I am assuming that the software we have here in the cars is the same as yours, but maybe not. If not, get them to fix it.

I suggest you find someone in the Dealership who knows what they are talking about or take the issue directly to Nissan/Infiniti Head Office.

You hold down the on button for more then 30 seconds, not sure if the radio or ignition has to be switched on though?

And for those in Europe with Ford car problems Ford did release a firmware update for the car audio systems last month, I tried it though and it hasn't fixed my problem but I am yet to fully reset my radio which I am going to do when I get round to it.
