My iPhone 4S Bluetooth will not connect with either my iPad1, MacBook Pro or Automobile BT. Suspect a stack issue in new BT 4.0 (BTLE) release. Has any one discovered fix to this. I have tried this with two separate 4S phones and have same problem..

One further clarification. I am most concerned with connecting with BT in automobile. I can use WiFi to tether to my other devices. I cannot change the car very easily! My iPhone 3G had no connection issues.

Same problem here: iPhone 4S (new and recently updatet) will not pair with my iPad 1 WiFi (just upgrading to OS 5.1.1.). The iPhone can´t see my MBP either.

This is is a problem, cause I used my former iPhone 4 as a modem (for entering the 3G mobile datanetwork) for the iPad

But I didn´t had at problem pairing my iPhone pairing with my Jabra Freeway handfree-device.

Any suggestions to fix this problem? Does Applke care...?

I, too, am having this problem. I attempted to connect my brand new iPhone 4S to my Prius 2010's Bluetooth system, which had worked flawlessly with both my iPhone 3 and iPhone 4.

Note that this was the *very first* thing I did with the phone after walking with it out of the store. In other words, I had nothing loaded on it, not even a single phone number, let alone apps or music. It was a completely fresh unit.

The 4S paired without any difficulty for phone calls, but it won't do other audio, such as music. (I tried it with a YouTube video to get some test audio; again, this worked with both of my previous phones.) I've been through the audio device setup and Bluetooth settings a zillion times—no change.

I am going to try deleting all my old devices, and see if that makes a difference, including trying to pair for audio before I set it up for phone calls, and will report back. (Any further suggestions most appreciated.)

I drive a 2006 Infiniti QX56. I got the iphone 4S in January, and I paired it with the truck's bluetooth kit, and it worked fine. UNTIL......about 2-3 weeks ago (which I think was right after I downloaded the new software update for the phone) it just all of the sudden stopped working. I can still give a command to dial through the car's bluetooth and it will dial the phone for me, but the call audio no longer comes through the speakers like it should. Also, incoming calls dont come through the car's speakers at all anymore, and they used to do that without a problem.

Anyone else had a similar issue, and if so, know a fix?

I have the same problem with my MacPro and my iPhone 4s. In my car I have a Blue Easy Handsfree ( a 48 $ piece), this is working just fine with the iPhone 4s - It finds the phone, connects within the plit of a second, and works superb with Siri!

Siri is happy but MacPro and Bakmann is unhappy! We're looking forward to the next update from Apple, I hope this will solve the problems!

EASY FIX: I can't connect Blue Ant 2 bluetooth, to my Iphone 4S...?

Press all 3 buttons, at the same time, for 1 second. (volume up, volume down and main button).

Now put it back in your ear and listen... "pair your phone".

This will reset your bluetooth for a "New Pairing"...

This will pair your bluetooth to your new iphone, and erase a 'previous' iphone pairing!

By pressing the 3 buttons together, you will tell your bluetooth to, forget about its previous 'phone info' and

get ready to load a new phone!

I am astonished that my Iphone 4s does not connect to my Imac or any other smartphone via bluetooth. I sincerely regret having decided on this piece of useless hardware. Thank my lucky stars that I did not dispense with my Nokia N8. If you live in South Africa don't buy this phone, if you do you will be bitterly dissapointed. This iphone will spend the life of my current contract in the darkest place that I can find to put it after which I'll try to sell it to someone who can talk it's language.

I'd like to thank Apple for their quick response to this issue. While we all sit here waiting for a reply, perhaps we can talk about the coming millenium, or the next Ice Age, or something that will happen before we actually get a reply.

The question is simple: "why can't our iPhones connect to our iPads via Bluetooth?"

Can we get an answer before we get our coffins?

Hi There, I've just received my fresh iPhone 4S overhere in the Netherlands and can also not connect it 2 my MacBook Pro. The 2 devices see each other with the 6 digit code and all but the connection is never really made on the iPhone whereas my MacBook states it is connected the little wheel of enternity keeps on rolling on the iPhone interface.

I would like to connect it to my TomTom nav system but my hopes are low.... My MacBook connects perfectly well with all other BT devices like mouse and wireless keybord.... bummer...
