Any luck setting up iCloud on Android?
I've switched over to iCloud and now my Samsung Sidekick won't work with my Mac email. Anyone sorted this out yet?

Weird article, it tells you how to put a Google account on yourMac/iPhone/iPad. It doesn't actually have anything to do with iCloud on an Android platform? In fact it only mentions iCloud to say how easy it is if you have an iPhone 😕
It's out of date as well.
I don't have an Android so didn't read the article but just noted its existence.
My ever lovin has an Android phone, and an iCloud account. I learned how to make that work (whilst under duress I may add) 🙂
My ever lovin has an Android phone
Now that should cause some interesting conversations in the household. 👿
I have learned when "yes dearest" is the correct answer, maybe even the only answer. 😐
I use the tried and true "I understand".
Indeed, that coupled with "Here, have some chocolate" can work miracles.
That was it! 🙂
The following settings worked for my HTC One.
Protocol = IMAP
Email Address = <name>@me.com
Username = <name>
Password = <password>
IMAP Server = imap.mail.me.com
Security Type = SSL
Server Port = 993
Login Required = Checked
Username = <name>
Password= <password>
SMTP Server = smtp.mail.me.com
Security Type = TLS
Server Port = 587

I greatly appreciate all the assistance offered. A win for community, civility and concern.
Those are the correct settings, and will work on any Imap client running on any platform (Android, IOS, PC or Mac).
Happy to hear you got it going 🙂
Today I set this up with NO MANUAL SETTINGS! I'm using the GS3 on Verizon, and i went to Add Account, chose Email, and entered my username@me.com, and entered my password.... and BAM! it set it up automagically! My phone is NOT rooted, and I'm on 4.1.2. I strongly suggest everyone trying to automatically set it up this way. I've sent myself test emails, and they all come through, only downside is there is no push setting. But at least I've FINALLY got my apple mail on my android!
I just got a new phone - the Galaxy S4 - and am finding that I need to input my username and password to SmoothSync for Contacts on what seems to be a daily basis. On my previous phone, once I set up the account, it "stuck". Any suggestions?

Contact the SmoothSync developer.
Thanks. I've searched but haven't found anything that appears to be a means to contact the developer. Suggestions?
His name is Martin Gajda, check on the Android Play Store for contact information.
Oh, I found one.

Here's another, this time it's smoothsync specific
Excellent...thanks. I'll post any results.
