Any luck setting up iCloud on Android?
I've switched over to iCloud and now my Samsung Sidekick won't work with my Mac email. Anyone sorted this out yet?

Who is your email provider?
Thanks for the tip Tucker77. Also, were you talking about the settings mentioned by StaticFX? There are several on that page 😉
Csound1 I'm using iCloud (.mac).
The very first one, the post by arthursc.

Are you using the native client on the phone or a 3rd party.
Post the settings you are using please.
This one? The first Post I saw didn't have any settings 🙂
ALL,
Galaxy Note 3 Settings. UK Spec on Three Mobile (www.three.co.uk)
I have been able to set this up this morning successfully.
As per apples documentation followed exactly as written, with the exception of the highlighted line which relates top OUT GOING SMTP SETTINGS. I set this to TLS. ;
Server information
IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
Note: If you receive errors using SSL, try using TLS instead. SSL is required for both IMAP and SMTP connection with iCloud. POP is not supported by iCloud.
Csound1 - yup. I'm using the native Nexus 5 app. Although contemplating trying CloudMagic tonight.
Yes, they're the ones me and my wife use. She gets push on her Note 3 and gets true IMAP, I don't on my S4.
Excellent. I'll try these settings tonight. Did your wife use @me? Or @mac.com
She uses @me and I use @mac, I've tried using @me and @mac but with the same end result. It's not the end of the world as I can still fetch at 5 minute intervals and can easily get rid of already deleted messages, it's just a pain getting used to it as I'm used to it working flawlessly on the iPhone.
Are you able to receive pictures without any problems?
From some email accounts where pictures have been attached I get no pictures at all (.mac accounts included). And when I do get pics, they take forever to download. Sometimes they don't download at all. And sometimes they download and when I go back to that email I need to re-download the picture!!!!
Oh the first world problems we encounter!!!
No, never encoutnered issues receiving pictures, sometimes they take an age to send even when resized and on wifi though.
Those are the correct settings, as for the login all 3 possible domain endings work for me, (@mac, @me and @icloud)
Oh well. Just tried the above settings and no luck. Pictures still do not come through from any iCloud account!
On one attempt just now, I got the outline box for a picture. It just didn't have the picture within it!!
I think I'll try CloudMagic tonight.

Of course they won't, those are the mail settings.
😊 Woops! I thought that having the correct mail settings would help receiving pictures too!
I have no problem receiving mail. I just don't receive pictures from certain email accounts - like iCloud! Oh and I also don't get Push. But not too fussed about the Push.
Do you attachments that are pictures in an email?
Those you should get.
