Any luck setting up iCloud on Android?

I've switched over to iCloud and now my Samsung Sidekick won't work with my Mac email. Anyone sorted this out yet?

This one? The first Post I saw didn't have any settings 🙂

ALL,

Galaxy Note 3 Settings. UK Spec on Three Mobile (www.three.co.uk)

I have been able to set this up this morning successfully.

As per apples documentation followed exactly as written, with the exception of the highlighted line which relates top OUT GOING SMTP SETTINGS. I set this to TLS. ;

Server information

IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:

  • Server name: imap.mail.me.com
  • SSL Required: Yes
  • Port: 993
  • Username: example@me.com (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
  • Password: Your iCloud password

SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:

  • Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
  • SSL Required: Yes - I HAD TO SET THIS TO TLS
  • Port: 587
  • SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
  • Username: example@me.com (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
  • Password: Your iCloud password

Note: If you receive errors using SSL, try using TLS instead. SSL is required for both IMAP and SMTP connection with iCloud. POP is not supported by iCloud.

Csound1 - yup. I'm using the native Nexus 5 app. Although contemplating trying CloudMagic tonight.

Are you able to receive pictures without any problems?

From some email accounts where pictures have been attached I get no pictures at all (.mac accounts included). And when I do get pics, they take forever to download. Sometimes they don't download at all. And sometimes they download and when I go back to that email I need to re-download the picture!!!!

Oh the first world problems we encounter!!!

Any luck setting up iCloud on Android?
