iPhoto crashes trying to import photo's

I love it when these forums work. Thanks Terrance! I had had the same issue.

Great advice, thanks. Removing /Library/Application Support/3ivx did the trick for me. Probably got the 3ivx file with the Flip camera.

Thank you, Terrence. I did not find an unistall, but removal of the 3ivx file from my Applications Support folder seems to have done the trick. I too was upset about this crash since the most recent iPhoto update, but as usual, Apple has not let me down.

My issue is also fixed. I also have a flip camera!

I have the same issue, but cannot locate a 3ivx uninstaller. I have found a 3ivx folder in the Library that contains two files. Can I simply delete the folder?

I deleted the Flipshare folder and the 3ivx folder. Imports work fine now.

Terence, you rock the world. Thank you SO MUCH for helping us figure out what to do. I removed the file you pointed out, and now I can import photos as I have become accustomed to doing! Thank you!!!

this worked for me as well, and I have flipshare on my computer. So glad Iphoto is working again. Will this interfere with the Flip camera?

Again Thanks Terence you've saved us. People may want to think about letting others know about this by anyway possible: word of mouth, FB etc. I had a photographer friend whose on vacation email saying he couldn't import his photos and iPhoto would crash. He was a bit paniced but I copied your solution to him and he is also very grateful.
