Can't access anything on my Imac!

I had my main account on my Imac, and now its goen only "Guest" account appears and when I click on it I can't use any programs not even system preferences to change it, because its blocked and says I need the administrator user name and password, but everytime I type my username and password the computer doesn't recognize me anymore. Please help me out.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1274 Once you sort that issue out, update to 10.6.8.

I tried to install it, but everytime I hold on the "C" key my computer it doesn't go directly to the startup disk. And can't even install it on the Guest account because its asks for the (administrators name and password) to allow ParentalControls to make changes. I remember my name and password and can't access it.
