Push email does not work (iCloud)

Since the update to icloud the push email does not work anymore. Im only talking about the me.com adress no Yahoo oder other Emails. I didnt changed the Mail settings and pushing mails worked fine before the update to icloud.


Example:

When i switched on the phone in the morning the mails i received during the night immediately got pushed to the iphone. That doesnt work anymore. It only receives the mails when i switch to the mail app.


Any suggestions anyone?!? 😟


Im using newest iOS 5 with an iPhone 4S and migrated my old me.com account to iCloud.

iPhone4 running iOS 5, MobileMe to iCloud transfered on day of release. Push email does not work. It might work every once in a while, but mostly not. If I had known about this issue I would have not migrated my mobileme account until this was fixed. You would think this would have been picked up in the beta testing?!?!?


Apple please send out a software update fix ASAP!

Sounds about right. My iPad has handled push from iCloud so much more reliably than my iPhone.


To help handle notifications, I'm using Boxcar (free from the App Store). By forwarding my email to Boxcar, I get push from that service even in iCloud push isn't working on my iPhone. This morning Boxcar told me I had new mail. I killed Mail on my iPhone and instantly received three push messages for the new mail.


I think the server's fine...there's something wrong with iOS 5 and push from iCloud. It's gotta be something the phone...otherwise killing Mail on my phone wouldn't affect push messages - right?


Here's hoping Apple fixes this quickly.
