What? If you read this thread carefully, or any one of the hundreds of other bluetooth related threads here, you would know that it's not a matter of 'compatibility', it's the fact that Bluetooth File Transfer is not and has never been supported on the iPhone.
You just can't do that.
I'm trying to use it for a keynote remote, not file transfer!
That worked for me also. Turn off Siri and WIFI...start the pairing process...laptop finds iphone first and asks if the number displayed is of the iphone being paired...click Yes (even thought the iphone doesn't display any bluetooth number...iphone displays laptop name...click on the newly discovered device on your iphone...TaDa
Remember to turn on your Siri and WIFI
Just had same pairing issue with 2008 Toyota Highlander (without NAV). Followed steps of turning off wifi and Siri, and all is good.
Hello.I am from Greece and my english isnt very good.I was using my plantronics 975 bluetooth with my iphone 4.I cant connect that with iphone 4s.Iphone 4s searching all the time but nothing. Can anyone help me?Thank you very much.
As stated clearly in the Keynote Remote app description it works over WiFi, not Bluetooth.
so,we ll never can use bluetooth hands free with iphone 4s??bad news..
What? Of course you can use a Bluetooth hands free.
I was replying to the person who asked about the Keynote Remote app. Nothing to do with Bluetooth hands free.
I have found a solution for now, until Apple finds a fix. In your settings, under "Siri", turn off "raise to speak". I did this and everything works perfectly so far. I wasn't using the raise to speak anyway so I'm ok with it until there is a fix. As soon as I did this, my bluetooth paired and worked fine and no audio speaker issues anymore. Keeping my fingers crossed, this is the 2nd day....
The <<raise to speak>> is off in my mobile.Plantronics 975 cant connect...
Sorry to hear that, maybe it is your bluetooth device then. Try turning Siri completely off, I do believe she's the culprit, reboot, reset your bluetooth. Then pair the two, if it doesn't work, try another bluetooth. That's the only way to narrow it down... Good luck!
What worked for me was turning off wi-fi and Siri. Paired immediately. Good luck.
avht, how did you delete the devices and start from the beginning because my 4S will not work in my new car either and my 3G did.
You should be able to click on the device under "bluetooth" on the phone and it gives you the option to "forget this device". Then you can start pairing again. I just bought a new jeep and my 4s works great with it, no pairing problems and it streams audio nicely. I have Siri on but "raise to speak" turned off.
I had the smae issue on my '10 Mazda speed3
I just deleted the pairings on the Mazda BT Settings menu (even after I accidentally forgot the device on the iphone 4s) turned the phone off and on again. Selected new pairing on the mazda... et voila. Works.
