Hi
My sms alert tone (IOS 5) seems to hae an issue. The tone repeat itself (as if like a broken record or stammering) multiple times when i receive any sms. Whenver i restart my phone it does sound normal for some smses, but then again it starts stammering.
I found on other forums that other users are also facing similar issue.
Any solution yet?

Apple do something people are buying your new 4s with so much trust don't break our heart clear this annoying bug for iPhone 4 and 4s. Plzz don't disappoint us
same problem here.I have updated the os to 5.0.1 but the sms tone stutter issue still remains.I havent got any response from apple
hard reset doesn't help. i haven't find a single solution for this bug. thinking about money I gave, its a shame.
Hello. I did the same thing, and my tone is not stammering now. But as you say, this is not a permanent fix...lets see if it happens again...
Same problem here! I've done restore three times and in the last I didn't restore from the last backup! Problem continues... :-(

I too am having the same issue. Upgraded ro iOS 5.0.1 and have stammering sound alert.
iPhone 4.
To me the best temporary fix is to reboot the phone.
Let's hope they finally fix this in iOS 5.1

Really a stupid BUG...
I really do hope APPLE read's it's forum because the issue is exposed as is the workaround ("View in Lock Screen" = OFF)
