Anyone else having problems using Siri with bluetooth?
if you get a car mount for you iphone then it helps
Hello
I have Alpine IDA-X305S with KCE-400BT bluetooth module, and Iphone 4S.
When I want to use SIRI, I have to hold for 2-3 seconds the telephone icon in the unit, and then SIRI answers, but after 30 seconds, it automatically stops and appear the message: NO CALL, and it comes back to the music I was playing...
Anybody knows how to fix this?
Thanks.
That has to do with the head unit and how it interacts with Siri. Check with Alpine and see if they have any updates to their units.
I have the same problem, Sire doesn’t work right with voice dialing using my HS700 blackberry headset. I have to disable Siri and use the regular voice commands and works just fine.
Siri used to work with the JBL Flip speaker, but now I have to tap the Siri button on the phone to activate the response. Could be from the latest iOS upgrade (iOS 6.1.4)? Seems like it's working backwards, but maybe the next upgrade will have a fix.
Meanwhile, I will be using taps instead of voice :-(
I am also experiencing this same issue with an iPhone 5 on a Lexus RX 350. Phone connects via bluetooth, but when using siri it disconnects right before the call is made.
I am using new ver 7 software, and when I activate Siri via (bluetooth (Blueant visor device) Ijust says connecting to the internet, and will not allow me to make a call. I have disable it in Settings before I can use hands free commands.
Hello, were you able to correct this issue with an IOS 7 upgrade? I am having the same problem. I have to tap the Siri button on the screen to force it to take action on my voice command. So it is correctly hearing and interpreting what I say, siri is just not recognizing that I am done speaking so it should execute the command. Siri works fine with other Bluetooth devices that I have though.
No Joe, I have refused to use SIRI... Have turned it off. Havn't re checked if it works now with ver 7.03

If Siri works fine with your other BT devices, that would seem to indicate the problem lies with the headset. You may want to see if there is a firmware update available for it.
Best of luck.
