Outlook 2010 SP1 Sync with the iCloud

Problem: Contacts do not sync. Calendar Items sync. They do not appear in iCloud.com or on my Iphone.

It appears items sync from the Iphone to the iCloud and to Outlook. The problem is items syncing from Outlook to the iCloud.

I rebooted the PC thinking it migh jump start the sync from Outlook to the iCloud.

I also tried unchecking Contacts in iCloud PC Control Panel, applied the change and then reverted the change hoping that woud jump start the sync from Outlook.

There are no errors.

iCloud Control Panel is installed

Windows 7 64 bit version SP1

Outlook 2010 Sp1is install (32 bit Version)

Outlook Itunes Addin is running

Outlook iCloud Addin is running

Outlook PST Maintenance

PST was compacted

Ran ScanPST with fix option to eliminate any PST issues

Itunes Configuration Information

Itunes is not configured to sync Contacts or Calendar

iCloud Windows Control Panel

Is set to sync Contacts and Calendar

Iphone 4 is set to sync with iCloud.

Any ideas would be appreciated

He's right,

All he is saying is that iTunes is able to synchronize with Outlook using the main calendar and the main contacts so why isn't iCloud able to do the same?

That means that through iTunes they know how to access the main calendar on the main contacts so it should be the same technology in iCloud...

I'm a developer and it makes no sense to me... If you know how to access some parts of Outlook in a specific way, why would'nt you be able to access them from iCloud?

Because iCloud is not a sync system, it is a Dav server and Outlook for Windows is the Dav client, MS elected to implement Dav functionality this way, complain to them (and remember that in Outlook for Mac MS elected not to implement Dav services at all, so no iCloud in Outlook for Mac).

MS have their own system, it is excellent, it is called Exchange, if you want Outlook to function the way you say you do use Exchange instead of iCloud.

Uninstall the pc based iCloud client

Document the Oscutlook 2010 profile Settings and from the control panel select mail and delete the profile. Create a new profile and then reinstall the pc iCloud client. If you are delivering mail to a pst, also consider creating a new profile and new pst. If this solves your problem you can copy contents to your new pst. Also consider removing or disabling any Outlook add-ins.

I have found my solution! I puchased a $10 outlook Addin called CodeTwo Sync for Icloud.

It took all of 5 minuteds to download and intiate.

I can now sync my PC w/ outlook, my Ipad, and my Blacknerry (now that is diversity) and all through Icloud and Calendar & Contacts works PERFECTLY! I canlt believe I struggled for so long anf teh answer was $10.

i don't know who they are but they made a software that fixed my problem with Icloud & outlook.

And it can sync mulitple calendars & contacts.

Yes, yes I know the standard whine about 'why can't Apple & Microsoft GIVE this to me" and 'why should I pay $10"....well, you can whine but I paid the ten bucks and my life just got a whole lot better 'cause all my different devices now sync perfectly.

If I can afford the Ipad, the Blackberry and Outlook 2010, then I can spare the $10 to make them all play nice together.
