When browsing the internet, I've noticed that my iPhone 4S gets really hot. I can especially feel heat coming out of the sim card slot area. Anyone having the same issue?
I've made an appointment for tomorrow with Genius Bar to have them take a look.

Let me know how this goes, i'm having a simular issue with the phone getting very warm.
So I just got back from the Apple store. First off, unless they see an error on their end with the phone they won't replace it with a new one. I spoke with the advisor guy and told him how I travelled far just to come to my appointment and I know that it'll happen again with the phone heating up. He ended up exchanging it after some influencing on my part.
The phone, so far, is ok. Gets a bit warm but not as hot as my old one. I'll keep you up-to-date with the progress of it.
I'm under the Sprint network btw.
my iphone gets kinda warm too fron the side were the sim card is located...you think i should get it checked out? mines on sprint too
Yeah I would suggest getting it replaced. If it feels like it easily gets warm/hot from just light usage get it replaced ASAP. If you bought it not too long ago then it would be a good decision to get it done now then later to prevent damage to your iPhone.
yeah cause i barely use it(for example send few text messages) and it gets warm from the side and back? Hows your iphone?
Uh oh, that's not a good sign. Yeah I'd make an appointment with the Apple Genius at your local Apple store ASAP. If they say that they need to have a signal on their computer that there's an error, just say that you would just like it replaced because its been happening since you received it.
i made a appointment for monday. i hope they tell me why this is happening or atleast exchange it for a new one..really disappointed My first iphone and its giving me problems. My battery also dies quick
*A lot..... My phone goes from 100% to 95 in about 10 minutes or so.. Is that normal ..this is just light usage .. Whenever I play few game it goes down probably 10%
Yes, I'm assuming that the battery is defective. Just make sure you tell Apple Genius that you would like to exchange it. They'll do a diagnostic on it, more than likely not find anything. Just tell them that it's been happening since you purchased the phone. They should change it. Good luck!

Yeah thats a popular answer to a lot of issues. Which is bogus sometimes.
iphones normally run pretty warm and kinda hot especially if your multi tasking it. I've had 3 generations of them.
Yeah, when he told me to do that I specified that I h already restored and master referred 3x's. It does seem that it is their answer to everything. It's worth trying. If it doesn't solve it, I'd go back and get it replaced. These phones do get warm, but in my case and in yours I'm sure that it's getting too warm to hot. I've noticed a HUGE difference with mine. It isn't as warm as the one I previously owned. The last one got hot, not warm but hot
