I have several songs that are the same artist but have a little difference for example: Lady Gaga, LADY GAGA, lady gaga. so i want to write te same name Lady Gaga for all songs. i did all the stuff on itunes..... get information and put the name i want but when i see my ipod they still with different names. with ios 4 i could do it but with ios 5 i cant.
please help me!!!!

Yeah, I was having the same issue with music on my iPhone after updating my iOS and iTunes... so annoying! But I think I found a solution- go to settings, then music, and turn "Group By Album Artist" off. Then close your ipod/music, and re-sync. That fixed it for me!

Worked for me too! Thanks for your help. FYI, to anybody that tries this method, I had to quit out of the Music app using multitasking in order for the changes to show up, but it worked!

I cant get it to work with my itouch...i went to settings, "group by album artist" is OFF, i close the music app, went to itunes, click sync, open music app again, nothing happened....HELP!

This works, but you have to re-boot your iPhone/iPod to get it to take effect. One strage side effect however is that my song files jumped from 12GB to 15GB on my iPhone just by doing this. I only have 12GB worth of songs in iTunes so I'm not sure what happened...?
