iCloud & Blackberry
I hope this will save someone from wasted, frustrating hours of trying to set up your mac mail on your Blackberry after making the mistake of downgrading to iCloud.
It is obligatory that you change your MAC ID password to contain at least one CAPITAL letter and at least one NUMBER. Obligatory as in you will never be able to get the iCloud system to accept your old password to authenticate your MAC email account on your Blackberry after making the mistake of going to iCloud. I tried 50 or 60 times over a period of 10 days and nothing else worked.
Once you have reset your MAC ID password you are ready to set up the account on your Blackberry.
If you have tried many times with your "mac.com" address you will never be able to access the ADVANCED settings page on the Blackberry which gives you the change to enter a server address for that account. So change your MAC ID to "me.com" and do the following.
When it asks for the SERVER, type in p02 and NOT p99 and it will get accepted. It might also get accepted with p99 but I didn't want to risk trying it and losing the ability to enter a server address. I got this tip from another frustrated iCloud user and it works.
Finally after 10 days of frustration I am getting my mac mail on my Blackberry again.
NOTE for changing your password. I signed onto the new iCloud account and tried to change the password but every time I went to the confirmation email window it rejected anything I typed. I finally went to the opening window and chose reset password by answering SECURITY QUESTIONS and it let me change my password. Another Apple "iCloud" bug.
I hope this helps someone with a Blackberry to save a few hours of frustration. As for the people at Apple who were involved in the iCloud transition, I hope they all lose their jobs.
