Transfer ultraviolet digital copy dvd to iTunes, not Flixster?

You can't. You'll just have to buy a google tv.

I knew that - but just proves the point. I've got my setup as do most of us. It works, we like it, etc. Will continue to vote with my dollars though and avoid flixter related stuff.

Does it really matter where it was purchased?

It is a DVD with a Ultraviolet code.

I have been buying the digital copies for a while now but just got to now getting them on my ipad2 and laptop

Sherlock Holmes 2, Journey 2, Wrath of the Titans – This offer is only good for an UltraViolet digital copy, as it states on the packaging. Unfortunately, iTunes is not available for this particular title. Warner Bros. is committed to offering its titles as widely as possible. However, we cannot provide digital copies in every media format for certain films for a variety of logistical reasons.

This REALLY ****** me off I have no idea what to do now -_-

UV is not a digital copy. UV is just a digital recipt stating which movies a person owns. Flixster is a partner of UV, but is not UV. Itunes/Apple could one day be a partner. Imagine being able to buy a movie on your Itunes and instantly being able to watch it on any tv/Blu ray player in your house. I just bought a movie at the stoor last night, put a code in my pc, and could watch it on my TV without removing the disk from the case.

You can watch your UV movies through a vudu account www.vudu.com or download the flixster app. Not going to lie it is a little tricky at first, but once you get it working, its like using netflix.

UV is a digital locker. Vudu works great in 1080p on my tv I got a movie last night at target, typed in the code, and loved it. The other great thing is it came with Itunes digital copy, not a "UV Digital copy", btw its flixster that does the digital copy not UV. I love the idea of both, because Ican stream the movie all i want on my blu ray player and watch it on my ipod touch on the go, plus I get a disk.

Except it doesn't do you any good when you don't have a data plan...or when you have an apple tv. Bottom line is for those of us how have everything in iTunes we don't want to manage our media in yet another application. Why don't they allow the downloaded file to be imported into iTunes if it is such a great product?

Two points,

1. It is clear that UV/Flixster is not the product for you.

2. Just because it doesn't fit your needs, doesn't mean it is a bad product.

I don't have need for a Ford F250 truck. However, it is still a good product.

Also, your argument against UV goes both ways.

It is impossible to play purchased iTunes movies in any device that doesn't have iTunes. I can't play iTunes movies on my Sony PS3, my brother's Roku, or my parent's Samsung Blu-Ray player. I can only play them on my computer or my Apple TV!

If that is truly the case then why the slow adopters and the many complaints about having to have multiple accounts to get anywhere? Streaming may be the way of the future but the video quality and sound quality are both dreadfull, and that goes for netflix or comcast or any other streaming service. To force people intro streaming requires a dependancy on a strong network and cable and cell providers are already having a problem keeping up and will most likely jack up rates. Not to mention some of the fine print that I have been hearing about that causes those rights to expire in a few years.

It also does people no good on air planes or traveling in regions with limited cell service. Having the physical file on my ipad or phone works no matter where I am. That is some basic functionality that I enjoy today so yes for me..the product is garbage and they need to stop calling it digital copy and call it what it is...the right to stream.

I don't know where to start as you are all over the place with this post.

If you want the highest quality in both sound and video there is currently only one choice, Blu-Ray.

You claim that "video quality and sound quality are both dreadfull" with streaming. That is your opinion and held by many. Thus I wouldn't refute it.

The problem with this claim about quality is that it also applies to ALL iTunes videos. They are in the same quality league as streaming.

If streaming isn't good enough for you then iTunes isn't good enough for you. They are essentially the SAME quality.

Personally, I have no problem with iTunes or UV quality. It isn't Blu-Ray, but it is very good.

I need to add a disclaimer to my statement.

You need a high quality, fast Internet service for this to be true.

I have Time Warner 30 Mbps down and 5Mbps up with no cap.

Thus it is true for me.

Ok, let me rephrase...streaming quality is dreadfull compaired to having the physical file on my ipad...and no they are not the same quality, they both may not be HD but the overall quality is quite different. I stream from various services all the time and the video goes from fine to choppy, blurry, droping sound, or just doesn't come up at all depending on network traffic and where I am located. I was in downtown chicago on vacation and could not get a signal at all...which I expect being in Chicago. This goes for cell service as well as comcast. The networks do not have the bandwidth and if you want higher quality bandwidth you need to open up your wallet. Yeah that isn't limted to just UV but all streaming services. The bottom line is don't make me stream it, let me use the method that I want to use.

Your statement on blu-ray however is correct, that stuff is awesome and the only thing I actually buy...unless it doesn't come with an iTunes option.
