iMessage sending sms to UK

I have an iPhone 3GS on iOS 5 in France with Numéricable as carrier and Bouygues as network.

I'm currently using iMessage with few people in France and USA.

I noticed on my phone bill 15 SMS to UK. And I don't know anybody in UK. So I think it's iMessage sending text to UK to come back to France when it needs to activate again, 15 times!

I don't think it's texts I sent since the hours does not correspond, and it would be silly to send texts to UK then back to France, and overall I've dislable the option : send SMS if iMessage is unavailable.

Anyone has the same problem or a solution to it as iPods don't have sim cards!

Merci!

I have the same problem in Spain. My iOS is updated, but my iPhone sends every single day a message to the Uk at the exact same time (20:25), which is costing me a lot. Each message costs 0.50€, which makes 15€ plus taxes extra cost each month. Apple refuses to solve the problem, and that will oblige me to change to Android, as I do not want to be robbed 180€ each year. Most people don't even notice this failure.

I Have the same problem in indonesia using XL provider.

Every morning i switch on the Iphone 5s, message "your carrier may charge for activate imessage and facetime". No difference effect if we choose cancel or yes, provider always charge sms to UK periodically.

Apple engineer if you read this comment please solve this problem. If you really concern about your customer.

You have replied to a post that is 2 years old - did you not notice this? Why not look before you post?

Also, this is a user to user technical support forum, a fact that you were made fully aware of when you signed up to the terms and conditions of this forum, or did you not bother to read them before joining?

Apple is not here and Apple engineers are not here - so if you want to give Apple feedback, go and give feedback directly to Apple and NOT on a user to user technical support forum, where nobody can do anything at all.

Also, why not look before replying to posts that are 2 years old!!

Ethmoid, although this thread is many years old, it is still a 'happening' thing, no doubt confusing many.

I have noticed random text messages all summer on all 3 of my iPhones, to +447537410***, from Italy, from France, from Spain; and at least here, this thread of technical questions was able to suggest that somehow iMessage authorisation was the culprit. That's a new fact for me!

the Apple iMessage caution line 'your carrier might charge' for the iMessage authorisation - would be more helpful if it mentioned that might then come in the form of a txt message to the UK, with some intriguing variations:-

Servizi di messaggistica : Gran Bretagna : 447537410*** : 07/10/2016 : EURO 0,49000

Servizi di messaggistica : Gran Bretagna : 447537410*** : 17/09/2016 : EURO 0,30000

Servizi di messaggistica : Gran Bretagna : 00447537410*** : 16/09/2016 : EURO 0,07300

Servizi di messaggistica : Gran Bretagna : 00447537410*** : 16/09/2016 : EURO 0,07300

Servizi di messaggistica : Gran Bretagna : 447537410*** : 13/09/2016 : EURO 0,30000

Servizi di messaggistica : Gran Bretagna : 447537410*** : 07/09/2016 : EURO 0,30000

I'm still trying to understand the variations - all above is from a single Vodafone SIM, and shows the activations over the last two months for my particular phone number. I can easily show the full number, but I'll keep with the thread method of hiding the last 3 digits. As far as I can determine, I was in the same originating country on the above dates, I really don't know why the price varies six-fold?
