Can't Import .mov files into itunes 10.5 on mac ox s 10.7.2

Hi,

So I have a Macbook pro with Mac OS X Lion and itunes 10.5, I also have a couple of .MOV video files which I would like to import into itunes so I can play it on my iPhone 4, but when I add the video files it doesn't appear in my itunes library. The annoying thing is it should import the .MOV videos?? Right?? The files open and play with Quicktime player on my Macbook and when I add the same .MOV files to itunes 10.5 on my Windows 7 machine, no problems occur but I cant sync the video to my iPhone 4 from that machine as my iPhone 4 only sync to my Macbook pro!!

Any ideas out there or people with the same problem??

I had the same problem but there is a work around. You need to get Quicktime Pro.

With this program you go to >file>export to> pick iTunes as the option. Once you have done that sync your device and it will appear. After that it should appear in your itunes library.

If you need to convert the file format there are a number of utilities and conversion programs available. I use Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate and it works like a charm for any movie or audio files.
